Its such a great album, but it is one of those records that (for me) I need to really invest the time to listen to it. Its just not a "chuck on and let it play in the background" type record. I love it to bits.

I love it to bits. for sure. its in my car at the moment i bought 5 copies of it to give to people cos it needed to be shared! i have one copy left to give. hmmmm. I also bought it on vinyl from the states will def go to their show when they come out. they play the album in full, then play their older stuff

my friend knows them. well the bass player more so.
I've been listening to Swoon by Silversun Pickups a lot! i really like it. It's a realllly good 2nd album. I never really listened to the first one much, but this one has stuck out more. they're progressed very well.
Umm also Dead Weather album is awesome too.
And the new Muse album is uhhh... kinda weird for me, i mean they open with such a big track and the 2nd track is such a let down, that's a big thing for me. If they open with an good song, follow it up with something just as good, or at least up to par with it. i mean look at Siamese Dream, you got Cherub Rock, great opener, and then it totally kicks in again with Quiet.... yeh... just my opinion

Mastodon - Leviathan
Why had nobody recommended this to me before?! Amazing album, one of the best metal albums I've heard recently. Craps all over Crack The Skye which is the only album of theirs that I had heard beforehand.

Agree Joshy the album tends to just go down the more you listen to it. It's like I lost interest in it.

having a total music drought at the moment.. any suggestions? my taste includes pretty much anything. actually I did start listening to Serj Tankian's 'Elect The Dead' again recently.. its an excellent album! For metal and non-metal fans alike. Oh, and i just reunited my love for Ratatat's song LEX. its amazing. it's easily in my top 20 songs of all time. everyone should listen to it atleast once, start to finish.
