i don't think they're expensive... they've shown a lot of comparisons with buying say through dell, using the same spec machines and they've been the same if not cheaper ... but when comparing to own-built machines where you know how to look for cheaper parts then yes, its bound to be cheaper. They did that with the Mac Pro's, when comparing to same built/spec'd machines through dell and other companies like that, they were the same price and sometimes cheaper...

wow, maybe there are things i'm missing when i'm comparing it to other laptops that are a lot cheaper.

well laptops are a bit different, i was mainly talking about the desktops. i think the mac laptops are way different than PC ones and nearly in a class of their own., example, the unibodies in the new range (this also contributes to the weight and size of them), the multi-touch trackpads... and from what i've heard the new graphics chips are pretty awesome.... BUT i also haven't really been looking at PC laptops and what they're like. i'm pretty much sold on macs, as most of you are aware. i've just had bad experiences with PC's and none with Mac But i think the value for money with the laptops is worth it. ive had mine for just about 3 years, it was the 1st gen of the macbook pro's and its still running really good, haven't had any hiccups with it.

i was quoted in the latest issue of J Mag, how exciting! they did an article on following bands on tour and asked people to answer questions on Faster Louder a few months back, and i very briefly talked about following Gwen and SP. they got the info wrong though and thought i was at Fed Square when you guys met Billy, and they also called me a guy, haha. the comment at the end is a bit rude though... full article (click to enlarge) they've also quoted Simon who was Todd's friend and at V Fest in Sydney, he posts on the forum as Saimagizzle.

Haha Scott, Mac's are undoubtedly better computers... It just so happens that nearly every person with a mac bangs on about how good they are, so I'm all for bagging them out when I get the chance... When I get it I'll have a windows partition on there so I can play games (somethings macs can't do... I dont care if you can run bootcamp etc, it's still using the windows platform).
Sunks I was looking on there (my flatmate told me about it) but somebody snaffled it up. I think I'm going to wait until next pay and make sure I've got all my accounts in order first.
TO STAY ON TOPIC... WESTS TIGERS coming back from half time to beat the roosters made me very happy... and the Cats seeming destroying the Hawks makes me happy too.

@de-tec-tive: that is a bit fucking rude huh? "bumlick"? Jesus.H.Christ!!!!
Cool that you got the write up though!
My girlfriend bought me a carton of beer tonight and some cigarettes and as I get older (though I'm not that old! 22) I find it harder and hard to get emotionally attached to things but I find it a hell of a lot easier when drinking, so tonight I watched the Lion King and I'm halfway through "Jack" the Robin Williams one where he ages physically far faster that he does mentally and I'm really glad i'm watching it again, so thanks lion king and thanks Jack and thanks beer: YOU MAKE ME HAPPY.

So I went to Griffith for my good mates wedding (i was one of his groomsmen) and I had the best fucking time... I get along really well with all of his friends and had a great couple of days... Stopped by Wagga on my way back to Canberra and saw my folks. My grandmother is quite ill but she is still fighting on...
so in short, Easter Long Weekend makes me very happy!

Sounds good foxman. hope your Grandmother gets better. yeh my weekend was great too. as some of you know i went to Perth, never been there before so it was great to go there. I really enjoyed it there, its a nice city. very small, so very easy to get from one end to the other AND had a GREAT day with Simon and Bree, THANKS for taking me around and taking me out to Feral Brewery, the food and beer was great! I found that Perth would be a livable city for myself. so after melbourne, perth is my 2nd favourite city in australia
