Probably the Cinematic Orchestra (who I found because Lou Rhodes sings on a couple of tracks on their latest album), Blonde Redhead (who I missed in Sydney but will be seeing at the V Festival in Toronto, so it's all good ) and Beirut... this guy who does crazy gypsy style indie folk music. Love it!

That's debatable.
They're a great band, I can hardly see the SP influence. I'd say more bands like The Breeders.

You know him and ryan have a punk band called 'The Finger' theyve got some stuff out, i see one of their albums around the place every now and then, i think theres another one too.

Ive just recently been getting into Tegan & Sarah - i know theyre not new or anything but their new single has prompted me to revisit their older stuff.
Also - Lynyrd Skynyrd (dont ask me why) not new either - but Im just now discovering how truly great 'Freebird' is.

WOW. Feist is amazing, I watched that video and went out and got the album today, its a really nice record. Thankyou so much for posting that I also got Deerhunter today, a friend of mine recommended them, so far really liking it.
