Cool, audio would be a real help, I'm still trying to work out what the best way to edit/encode them is. They recorded into .mov files so it's either a matter of converting them to something else and editing them or finding a quicktime editor for windows which I haven't managed to do yet, at least one that relatively cheap or free. I must warn you that these screen caps are a little deceiving, the camera had a lot of problems trying to keep focus in such a dark environment with flashing lights, so the video does tend to go in and out of focus a bit but it's not the worst concert bootleg I've ever seen and of course it's better than nothing at all. Unfortunately because the camera was only brand new I didn't have enough time to fiddle with settings etc. Anyhoo, here's a couple of screencaps from the Melbourne V Fest, the audio seems a bit better on this one, maybe because of it being outdoors, but have no probs replacing it with better audio if it exists. As you can see I filmed the screen beside the stage.. yeah i know it's kinda cheating I'm hoping whatever editing software I use I can somehow crop the black border from the picture and make the v fest screen the size of the video frame, biggest prob there is that because the camera moves a bit the cropping area will continually change.... hoping I don't have to do that frame by frame, heh, would take me at least five years to get it out so suggestions are welcome unless someone wants to take on the challenge Anyway enjoy:

Hi, Thanks for the offer, might take you up on it, I'm just in the process of playing around with all the footage and to see what I can do with it, I've successfully managed to transfer test cases into vob files (well one song so far for testing) and will encode to xvid and see how it turns out, I'm hoping to post a sample tomorrow night (Should be "tonight tonight" from VFest). So yeah, I can edit vob's etc quite easily so I'm pretty happy I've managed to find a way to do this, I don't want to dump extra work on you guys if I can help it but if you have audio for Festival Hall that would be awesome. VFest is the one I've been playing with atm, whilst the audio is much better ideally should be replaced with something better if it's out there. btw, the raw files total about 14Gbfor both shows. Festival Hall is about 9Gb and VFest is about 5Gb.

Cool, well here's the xvid of Tonight Tonight (75Mb - 5mins) I promised from VFest, it gives a pretty good idea of what both shows are like e.g. the focusing prob etc. As mentioned the audio is much better in this but could still ideally be replaced as there seems to be several spots where the audio drops for a split second, it's not a major issue though. If this is fine I'll do the rest of VFest, if someone's got better audio i'll hold off.

Nice speed from your server there! I was going to PM you some audio samples tonight but i hadn't gotten around to it yet. I have complete audio of vfest i can give you, that sounds a bit better than yours, though there is a a fair bit of chatter through it. I also have about 2/3 of festy, cuts halfway through tarantula, comes back in during TEG and is missing about the last minute of the buffalo springfield tease, if you can make any use of that...

yeah, I feel your pain, I had these drunken teenage tards next to me at VFest yelling "this is boring, play something else" around when they played United States. I was about to smack them upside the head since U.S. is one of my favorite Pumpkin songs to listen to at the moment but decided filming was more important This was on the disabled stands which was made out of metal bars and ply wood so when they were jumping up and down during songs like Bullet with Butterfly Wings causing the whole stand was shaking which made it pretty hard to keep the camera steady, regardless of that is was a good place to be because I didn't have the problem of people walking infront of the camera every five seconds.

Holy Crap, tspec - that server of yours was lightning quick! Clocked 794 kb/sec at one point!!! Avg. rate of 522!!
Anyway, that was a fantastic video - thank you so much for putting that up. That auto focus was a killer at the start though, lol. Thanks again. :-)

I am so excited that this has popped up. This is the first SP show I went to, on my birthday, with my Mum. First time I saw the shaved head. Good times.

I had to read the date a few times when I found it, just to make sure it was THAT show and I my first thought was "OMG! Vic is going to lose her shit ..." ... you know in what style too I've downloaded it, its really hissy ... really only something worth downloading if you're after having all the Australian shows.

Still no adelaide audio that I can put to my awesome (but deadly f**king silent) video? Seriously the vision is so good, it will such a shame to waste it - surely there is at least SOME audio out there? I think I have about 40 minutes of the gig filmed from the front row.
