Just another thread generated by my boredom at work....
are there certain songs you LOVE that you feel aren't as recognised as well as they should be or something like that? maybe you have them higher up on your list than other fans may have them?
i was just thinking today and i think waiting is a much better song than some fans may think...what a beautiful track. This is one such song.

People tend to think that Spaced is "downright muck" but I love it. It's underrated like you wouldn't believe (well you might...), and I think it's because they don't listen to what he's saying, or try to hear it anyway, hehe.

Marquis In Spades and Lucky 13
what kind of band doesn't put those songs on an album?
outrageous i say, out-rage-ous.

the last 4 tracks on MCIS
We Only Come Out at Night Lilly By Starlight Farewell and Goodnight
i know for a while i often overlooked these songs, but i think they are fantastic...
lilly i love james little bits he does with the lead
by starlight is just cool as
farewell and goodnight, great to hear them all sing on one song, and the piano at the end i could listen to for ages....
we only come out at night, its just so there and it gets ya in a mood and it stays in your head, and the lyrics are really good if you have a look at em...
plus the ones already mention here is no why (probally my fav mcis track, or ruby)
glynis yes i totally agree there too...
personally aswell i think the whole machina album too... i think all teh songs on there a great, songs like vrying tree and blue skies, alot of people cant stand, i really love them, sure there are some songs weaker than others on the album, for some strange reason i skip try try try, every now and again, god knows why... anyhow thats my 2 cents...

tear: just the sheer emotion is overwhelming. one of the best pumpkins songs ever for that very reason. drown: that cute little intro and the opening line just makes me melt! pennies: it's so ridiculous, just the craziest song, puts me in a fantastic mood where boys fear to tread: again, the intro... amazing... and the snarl-ish type sound to it... crush: billy's voice is to die for in crush... the aeroplane flies high: i can't explain why i feel so strongly about this song. i don't even know. it just sounds fantastic, but i can't work out why. the whole distorted speech between verses goes so well with the song, but it's gotta be the boxed set version rather than the judas o version, you gotta have that cool down bit at the end which for some reason isn't on the judas o version. soot & stars and in my body: just send me to a different world. i can't listen to either of these songs and stay on earth all fantastic songs. yet i never hear pumpkins fans mention them much.

It's underrated like you wouldn't believe (well you might...), and I think it's because they don't listen to what he's saying, or try to hear it anyway, hehe. yeah those are some of the most deep lyrics: dad dad dad dead dead dead dead dead was i ever alive? fucking makes you alive in one minute solstice i am solstice filled with mercury filled with mercury liquid fucked see right through your heart see right through your heart fuck your heart i am mercury liquid pure hot, alive, dead, mucked fish eyes, doors i was born alive i'll fucking kill you i'll beat your soft baby head with my own hand careful with that baby don't ever say the h word around him ashamed i am ashamed of my name, say it i hate the sound of your shit because it means no good it means cheap, liar, smart ass piece of shit change it to raygun you fuck billy the loon billy the loon i am mars i am mars billy addly addly addly.... your name causes shit while i may be no expert on this reality there is no god but shame god is hurt, god is cold try that once, god is dead there is not another one battle cold heart radio feedback the pain reoccuring messages of badness reoccuring living bad dreams at the vortex of lost souls wailing lost souls of shame we are in one hole like a cup of mercury phosphate brrr shuddering around [?] taste my shit you wench lifting wailing lost souls who stand a chance hot, my eyes darkly gaze and wonder- do not enter [?] why why why? i was born whole fractured divided shattered into a billion fragments a million piece puzzle a million piece jigsaw puzzle with no this, and no that.....

that bit reminds me of the black hole sun clip. yeah i always thought that too. Just how the people are shot and the surroundings being so fake. I also just wanna know do people appriciate the full-length version of Drown? with the drowning guiatrs etc ... or the shorter version. For me nothing beats the full one - but i know some people like the shirter version and find the longer version annoying ...
