I thought i would create a new thread on this folder where we can share any kind of music news. Be it a tour news, band announcements, leaks for upcoming albums or anything else.
Basically it is for anything that may not warrant it's own thread - Hope you guys think this is a good idea and contribute reguarly!

HOW ABOUT YOU SHUT YOU MOUTH! (haha, seriosuly, could use some improvement, but otherwise some top top top smileys there guys!) And the track trent has some 'vocals' on with QOTSA was up on their myspace page, its the title track, but isnt on the album... and you can hardly hear trent on there... But i tihnk the general forum is good enough for general topic and general music topics..

Yeah I've had my eyes on this for awhile. Pretty excited about this, should be gold. (Same - and best - lineup from the Lullabies to Paralyze )

Nice idea for a thread Steve, we'll keep the general forum as the main forum for music discussion, else you end up with way to many other forums.
Anyway i got the new Arctic Monkeys album today, haven't given it a full listen. But its pretty much similar to the first release, no surprises there really. Damn catchy tunes, although some sound very similar to songs from the first record.

i was contemplating that album, and was holding back for those exact reasons, that it would sound exactly like the last one....

oh there is no doubt they have recorded the same song twice, many times over this album. BUT there are a few softer style songs that have some merit to them. But I guess its the thing with a band like this, the sound is so defined and they really have to pump out the albums with their sound is still "in" ... else they'll dissapear.

Blue Orchid= Great, Denial Twist, pretty damn good, rest= meh id rather get another Racounteurs album before another white stripes, not really a fan of meg i must say. Also, Lullabies- the best Queens lineup??? No Nick, Little Mark? I love that album, but certainly not for its lineup. Songs for the Deaf tour lineup was way better: Josh, Nick, Troy, Mark, Joey= awesome

But I just think the new linup and last album were kickass, despite all the odds. And its so cool to see Troy as an offical member.

Don't forget new Interpol in June or July guys, can't remember which. I've signed up at cdjapan.co.jp for the ability to pre-order jap releases as they come out Interpol was one of the bands i added on my list for notifications of upcoming releases and recieved one a few days ago that their new album will be released 2007-06-20 (with possible bonus tracks) Maybe people here don't know but they have kicked off a small tour of Canada (can't remember if they're playing other countries after that besides lolla or whatever festival) Anyway, so far they've been playing 3 new songs, Pioneer, Heinrich Maneuver and Mammoth Pioneer 2007-04-15 (love it!) www.youtube.com/watch?v=gK7duAtM_Yg Heinrich Maneuver 2007-04-15 www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2YRmRVXvDQThere's also a boot of the 2007-04-16 show This includes Mammoth,as well as the other 2 new ones It's an MD recording in mp3 format and sounds pretty damn good www.sendspace.com/file/efx62w

Triple J will be doing a special 4 hour super request tonight. It will feature Australian and New Zealand artists only. Could be good if they pull out some old specials.
I'm thinking i might request Eskimo Joe's Turn Up Your Stereo.....good times!

I hadn't looked in this post before so i have a lot to past about. A new Raconteurs album would be awesome, Broken Boy Soldiers is a sterling effort. I like that as a whole album better than any White Stripes. I met Nick Oliveri from QOTSA when they were here for the BDO once and he was a total sweetheart, absolutely lovely. I was a little taken aback. But then he got nude on stage so my world was in balance again
