Do you like him Steve? He's been getting called our generation's David Bowie, that might spark a bit more interest... haha. Standing tickets are $26 + booking fee or $40 + booking fee if you would like a copy of Patrick's new album, 'The Magic Position,' as well. Or if you want to get a seat at a table (which I've been told gets you closer to the stage and is consequently more expensive) you can pay $72 (which also includes a two course meal) or $85 for the same thing but with a copy of his new album too. It's going to be a little strange... his music isn't exactly the type that you sit down and watch. It'll be interesting to see what happens on the night. And in other big news... TORI AMOS IS COMING TO AUSTRALIA IN SEPTEMBER! Yayyyyyyyyyy! An announcement was made on undented.com this morning. The schedule is: September 10, 2007 – Melbourne – Hamer Hall September 14, 2007 – Sydney – Opera House September 16, 2007 – Canberra – Canberra Theatre September 18, 2007 – Newcastle – Civic Theatre September 20, 2007 – Adelaide – Thebarton Theatre September 22, 2007 – Brisbane – Convention Centre September 27, 2007 – Perth – Concert Hall Tickets will be $125 (ouch) and will go on sale soon. I'm totally going to Sydney, Canberra and Newcastle. ;D Just had to get in before me, didn't you bitch, hehehehe...I'm so going to the meet and greet and getting photos...I WILL NOT MISS OUT THIS TIME!!! I don't care how much of a fanboy I look like, hehehe!

It's not like it's the world cup final or anything... Tori doesn't come here that often, soccer games are on all the time!

I just started my 2nd listen, its brilliant. and Era Vulgaris is on as a bonus track woo!!!!!! Fvs so far: Turnin' on the Screw, I'm Designer, Misfit Love (wqhich makes me dance like mad), Suture up Your Future, Run Pig Run, and the bonus tracks. So.... pretty much all of it

Tunrnin' the screw is indeed awesome, and it closes really well with Run Pig Run I'm glad Era Vulgaris (Or You Know What You Did ) was included as a bonus track, but don't you think it could have been on the album proper? I could see it as a single to be honest.

The setlists she's been playing lately have been amazing. And the chances of having a good chat with her in Canberra would have to be a lot higher than in Sydney... if I get a photo with her, I think I'll die.

Yeah, trust me, Foxy, I mean, Tori's just amazing live, f**king life changing, I mean, her songs sound even better in concert. I paid 150 to see her in Sydney last time, and I'd pay it again without even batting an eyelid...
I think the "risk" Scotty is taking about Josh is the Dying risk, hehehe, although, you know, it'd just about be worth it, hahahah! And you're right about Canberra, I REALLY want to meet her this time, and that might be an option...I definitely wanna see more than one show.
I like Regina, never got around to buying her albums, but I like everything I've heard. Loved Fidelity. She's very Kate Bush sounding to me.

Thought this was an interesting look at the future of the music industry. Ash have said the new album will be their last ... their last as releasing 1 album at a time. Ash frontman Tim Wheeler was telling the truth when he announced at the Isle Of Wight festival that the band's next album will be their last – but they're not splitting up.
Responding to the rumour-mill, Wheeler said in a statement that Ash plan to concentrate on releasing individual songs in the digital format. Their upcoming, fifth full-length album – 'Twilight Of The Innocents' – will be their last CD album release.
"The way people listen to music has changed," Wheeler said. "With the advent of the download, the emphasis has reverted to single tracks. When you're tied to the album format, you find yourself waiting six months between finishing a record and releasing it. By leaving this behind we can enter a new phase of spontaneity and creativity."
He also left the door open for the release of physical CD singles as well as CD compilations of digital tracks.
Wheeler continued, "Our new album is the pinnacle of everything we've done thus far, and I'm proud that this will be remembered as our last album."www.undercover.com.au/News-Story.aspx?id=2289I guess not all bands will take this approach, most bands still want to create one huge body of work that reflects a certain time of their lives or a certain sound. But even if bands still want to release albums, I think would be healthy for bands to release more 1 or 2 track releases between albums. Reminds me of the stories you hear of back in the 60's/70's when a 7" vinyl would be released with 2 songs on it as an EP after the band would knock out a few tracks while on the road. Would be great for bands to take this approach I think.
