Been a long time since I visited this thread Should be a beauty on Saturday. I coughed up some $$$ and will heading over for it, can’t wait. Geelong deserves to start slight favourites, but I reckon my boys can do it. (if we can find some other goal kickers to support Riewoldt). Recovered from last Sunday’s footy Steve? Been a terrific finals series so far for a neutral fan like myself.

Last Sunday, what happened last Sunday? - Hehe, oh it was a true heartbreaker, but hopefully we get the job done this week and have another crack.
Also - Sad to hear about Clay, shocking, shocking decision IMO

So guy I work with won tickets to Melbourne ... he signed a confidentiality agreement and couldn't tell us anything ... all he could say was that he is being flown business class with Qantas to Melbourne, staying all expenses paid at Crown for him, his wife and kids ... now he couldn't say if it was a yes or no for the GF ... but it seems pretty obvious it has to be.
I'm guessing he could be the coin tosser? That is usually a competition winner yeah? ... if it is a guy named Dean, then thats Dean I work with.
(Stupid Dean! - that was a Simpsons gag, not a joke at him)

You work with one lucky b*astard Sunky Geelong has certainly firmed up as clear favourites with the bookies and most tipsters. St K owns a lot of unflattering records, and we don’t want the record of having won the most games in a season without winning the flag! I think you’ll get over Sturt Steve. The bays seem to have the wood over them in a big way, and I can’t see Chambers having an impact if he does end up playing. I’d imagine Mickan would have given them a rocket during the week, he looked a shattered man on Sunday. The last team to finish top and miss the GF? South Adelaide of course. The less said about Clay and the SAFC the better.

What a game! (on a side note, turns out the guy I work with won something else ... he was the guy that came up with the iSnack 2.0 name for the new Vegemite ... wow!) Anyway, back to the football talk.

OH MY GOD.
I was an absolute mess yesterday... Great game, but I was terribly drunk. We had punch and had to draw a player's name from the hat. I got Steven King and Paul Chapman, every time they got a mention we had to drink. When chappy got Norm Smith I had to finish off the punch bowl.
Great game, great to make up for last year's loss. I think I'm more relieved than anything, now we can go down as one of the all time great teams and have more to show for it than the Essendon team of 2000.

I feel ... ashamed for him. Like I'm happy for the guy, but it is a pretty lame name and I don't know many people that like the name ... its a weird choice for Kraft. Its not a name that has longevity to it, so I guess that means that can't see the product lasting that long either. Meh, I don't eat it anyway. haha.
Anyway. Back to football.

Oh Foxy, man that sounds awesome! hahahahaha. I was at a dry GF party, which i didn't mind. we had the sweeps too. i pulled Ablett, Joel Corey, Hawkins and Bell. I called Chapman or Taylor for the Norm Smith at the end of the game before they announced it and HEY! they both got equal votes. was a great game to watch! i was going for the saints though, i love getting behind the teams that haven't won many cups (geelong is one, but they won a few years ago, i backed them then). Sooooo Melbourne got rid of Mclean for the 11th pick. which i'm ok with, i liked him though. BUT we got like 4 first round picks in the last untouched draft before the GC team gets most of them next year. Soooo we should pick up a whole bunch of good players. we're rebuilding! But i think we need an experienced full forward to lift us up.

Great game. Massive, massive day. Foxman i think i sent you a couple of texts but i woke up and my phone outbox was wiped, might be a good thing!
My local boys Glenelg went out in straight sets yesterday, lost our first final by 2 points (After being 20 up at the last break) and lost yesterday by 5 points. Unbelievable. 1986 - The drought continues.
Harry Taylor revealed he played the last 3 quaters with a broken bone in his hand, massive effort, he was fantastic. And in other news, Carlton meeting about Fev's future today...

Well, what a match. The attack on the footy by both teams was relentless. It was a privilege to be there really.
As Steve would agree- bad kicking for goal will cost you in the end. Hard work goes unrewarded time after time.
We had to chances to have a significant lead by ¾ time, but failed to do so.
Very hard loss to swallow that one.
Lastly, well done to the vast majority of the Geelong fans at the ‘G. Very humble and good natured in their banter

i thought that was a bad decision for Carlton... he was the coleman medalist this year... why would you get rid of a star player, just cos there were some antics... I'd love him at Melbourne, we need a big forward!

I blame Chris Judd. Like Ben Cousins was innocent before he came to our side, and Fev was a quiet shy guy before Judd ... wait ... WHA? ... hahaha I guess it comes down to that they can't show they are playing favorites to higher profile players, that is what happened at West Coast and we lost some other guys due to it. Everybody needs to behave the same and be equal.

Don't be so sure he's off guys - It's Carlton we're talking about! The give Fev the ultimate scare - Come trade week, no one can afford him or Carlton don't get a deal they want - They keep him and regain some kind of control on him following all this. Would love to see it happen to spice things up, but i think he will stay

Interesting theory. I wouldn't have seen Carlton as a dodgy, under handing, sly team at all ... oh wait. You could be right actually.

sunks - your poor workmate!
So it seams Seaby, Staker and now Spangher are seeking trades - Think Spangher is going to be a player. On the plus side for WA clubs, Bradd Dalziell wants to come home it seems, questionable disposal, but can find the ball.
Also, West Coast want to speak to Matty Stokes it seems, and the Gold Coast are going to put a deal people are reporting as 4 years for $5 million on Abletts head!

KURT FUCKING TIPPETT RE-SIGNED!
Awesome awesome news, Kurt inked a 3 year deal to stay here and not go home to the Gold Coast. This kid, is going to be a star. You could argue this is probably our biggest signing since Darren Jarman came home
And just to be lame:
When a problem comes along, You must tippet, Before the cream sits out too long, You must tippet, When something’s going wrong, You must tippet, Now tippet - Into shape, Shape it up- Get straight, Go forward - Move ahead, Try to detect it, Its not too late To tippet....tippet good

Being a Tassie boy and a Richmond supporter, of course Richo had to be my favourite player Shame to see him retire. At the very least he was entertaining for both Richmond supporters and opposition fans alike. I remember the day at the MCG against Collingwood when he missed from the edge of the square - was quite possibly the loudest roar of the day Pity he didn't get one last game to retire on, would have loved to gone to it.
