As for 'Lily'', to me it sounds as if Billy wrote it through the eyes of a stalker, an obsessive type of love. With lines like "but an officer is knocking at my door" and "Through her window shade I watch her shadow move" I don't think it was really meant as a love song, although at times it sounds like it should be one... i find this song as really cute, i relate it more to a young teenager who has a major crush on this girl rather than a stalker

i find this song as really cute, i relate it more to a young teenager who has a major crush on this girl rather than a stalker I always took this song as Billy talking from the point of view stalker ;D I think your point of view is probably right Shaun, but I think with the picture Billy paints with the lyrics he exaggerates the situation so it doesn't have a serious love song feel to it, especially with lines like: But an officer is knocking at my doorand As they're dragging me away I swear I saw her raise her hand and wave goodbye...
