Hey, Theres a chick at work I'm keen on. It's her bithday next week and I'm considering getting some flowers delivered to her anonomously. My quandary is; what sort of flowers should I get her? She is trendy yet elegant. She dresses very fashionable, though her jewelry is simple and traditional. Im thinking something along the lines of Irises and Lillies. This may be a question for the ladies and closet florists out there. I wanna get something that says I'm very interested, but not desperate. I'm caring and considerate, yet unexpected. So naturally, I dont wanna be as blatant as red roses and baby breath. Any thoughts?

Lilies and orchids are nice (and Pumpkins themed), but gerberas are a good "safe" flower. Good luck and let us know how it goes

NO GERBERAS!!! TACKY TACKY TACKY! (that's my personal opinion!)
BUT, Simon (sunky) buys me Lillies from time to time (I even had them in my wedding bouquet). I'd say for a birthday, maybe some pink or apricot lillies would be lovely. They're both classic and modern, come in a lot of colours and keep for up to 2 weeks.
Good luck!

No - No gerberas!!! Gerberas are 'fun' - I wanna be a bit more than that. I want a flower that says more than 'Happy Birthday'
I was thinking white lillies and blue and violet orchids (I completely missed the Pumpkins reference btw)
Maybe I should write something a little cryptic on the card, like a SP lyric in the hopes she might google the quote and find out its an SP song. Then if I wear a SP t-shirt that day she might put one and one together. Hmmmmm.....
For sure I'll let you all know how it goes!

Gerberas aren't that bad.
As the 2 girls said, lilies and orchids all the way. Don't go roses, would comes across as way to strong.
If you're thinking of a card also, I would get a card with a black and white photo, something classic and I would suggest just something blank inside where you can write a lil message, something simple.
Best of luck with it!

Yeah, you gotta be careful with that kinda thing , its a real fine line. Sorry to hear about that buddy, she's probably a bitch anyways, (just going by the ways you described her)

How do you tell if a girl is uninterested or just shy?

I dunno, but you should probably see if she'd like to hang out more, before you put on any "hard words or smooth moves," don't rush it, and don't get too hung up on it. Any ideas for another outting you could take with her?

Hahah - I messaged her friend - apparently she is shy... But yeah, I think an outing or two might be the go. Smooth Moves indeed - I like how you think Shard!
