in case some of you don't already, you should keep an eye out in this forum every now and then (every week at least): forums.netphoria.org/forumdisplay.php?f=8i know most of you hate netphoria, but it's had a lot of leaks in the last month or so (valentine, strtj - qaos, satelites [ages ago], marquee show, blew away - qaos, etc.) and is where new sources or recent torrents get posted, lots of interesting trading stuff, and lots of info old and new.

Yeah, but so did the ZOMB, for awhile at least. But yeah, your right Josh they can be.
Maybe its the curse of the Pumpkins online boards, they can get quite shitty, the official Zwan board was truely awfull before they took it down, if anyone remembers what it was like there.

thanks trev, it is handy that all this stuff is starting to be released and people are starting to share with everybody in the trading community. Every fan deserves to hear this stuff as for netphoria, its been around for so long and is open to the whole world - that its got those people that act that way. we are pretty lucky to have such a small community where everybody gets along so well.

I'd have to start my acount from scratch probably, *sigh* thepumpkins.net has some stuff, if people don't like netphoria. I'm not sure of people general thoughts of that one. "we are pretty lucky to have such a small community where everybody gets along so well" yeah, thats true simon, small but consistant, and thats nice. *group hug*

I have noticed that Netphoria is always up to scratch with news and the like. So as much as there are some weirdos, there are obviously some dedicated fans who want to help others.
Being a newish fan (3 years) its nice to have help on the stuff that is available on the internets. Cause, damn there is sooo much.
Which is one other thing that makes the Pumpkins amazing. The huge internet fan base!

when you say help, do you actually mean ask a question and get a serious reply? You gotta have balls to try that at netphoria

yeah, lets not turn this into a netphoria bashing thread. i think we are focusing on the minority there, i read the forums (don't post) but you do find that majority of information leaked/released comes from there.

And you're very right Sunky, we are lucky to have such a friendly forum. Don't think I've ever been to a board that is so peaceful (ie no flamers, etc)

as your name comes from diorama i'm guessing, and the album sucked, i'm just gonna tell you where the clips are... rspaa.niluje.net/data/Demos/ (down the bottom of the page) ok, althought the album sucked, the full songs are yet to be released... but probably will be in the next year as they drag out the releasing of QAOS and other recordings hopefully

just to update people who dont go to netphoria. The user leaking the tracks asked for Esty (a netphoria dickhead) to be banned almot a month ago, and until that he wont release any more tracks. People thought he was joking. SOmeone made a thread asking where he was today, and he had this to say...
You know, I never asked or expected anything out of anyone in the community for what I did. Not a single thing. Well, nothing save one - I expected some respect be given, especially considering the gravity of the situation. I don't give a whit for all of the thanks and so forth - it's very much appreciated - but it's not what these files were about. Apparently, this is still too much to ask of Netphoria, even after the band's been gone for seven years and presumably the fanbase has aged if ever so slightly.
Now I understand if there are doubts about whether or not it is considered appropriate to allow a random and anonymous member who has barely posted on the board to demand that another member be banned. I understand that it is not "the proper form". I understand that there are certain principles that the community adheres to as far as how things may or may not proceed.
What the community (or its admins) must decide is what is ultimately the greater good - allowing a churlish and nasty user to continue his abusive behavior across the entire board (contrary to the most basic rules of most prosperous forums, who wouldn't bother to tolerate consistently obnoxious users) for the sake of so-called propriety and "user rights" - the right to abuse others, apparently - OR if perhaps the very nature of the materials being released, their rarity, and the great difficulty in obtaining them may warrant granting an exception to the normal run of things...for the greater good of the forum by allowing the entire fanbase a chance to listen to these long-awaited tracks? Where does the greater responsibility lie? To the single user and lax "principles" or to the entire fanbase and collective freedom of access?
Well, look: that's fine - I respect the forum's perogative. But I ask that you respect me and others, then, in not releasing any further tracks, as is our perogative. It's about...well, you know...the principle of the thing...
At this juncture, we only have a brief window of time to do any more work in this way. I wish I could even set a deadline at this point, but there are too many factors in play that I have no knowledge of yet to be able to predict such a date. After that point, it becomes too risky to continue until another convenient arrangement is made - very improbable that will happen again this year. And as we all know - media decay over time, errors creep in, and I have no way to guarantee the security of the data beyond my meager precautions.
So do what you will. Matters not to me - I have heard these tracks till I'm sick of them.
My new conditions are as follows: Esty is to be banned and his username is to be - pardon the pun - salted. That means I want all of his messages also to be erased, and the name completely locked out. It will be as if the user never existed. Hell, you can even just temporarily do all of these measures until I've finished releasing these files, then restore it all - I won't care then. But these are my requirements for any further work to be done on my crew's part.
I'm not interested in excuses or discussion - you can all handle that amongst yourselves. If my conditions are met, we'll talk again. And if not,
Have a good 2007,
So its looking like we wont get the tracks for a while longer... As much as Esty is a cocksucker, i think its a bit stupid top ask for a user to be banned (unles they do it temporarily).. i tihnk he is on a bit of a power trip in his hoarding position...

This Esty must be a knob for it to get to this point. but to stop the entire pumpkins community hearing these tracks because of one person does seem to be a tiny bit harsh, but thats his choice.

Yeah.
What did, Esty, actually write or say?
Netphoria really is an odd board sometimes.
