i've also emailed rosie beaton, to try and find out if JJJ will be recording any shows or holding a special Live at the Wireless. Also to see if we can get any confirmation on this tour. Speaking of Miss Rosie, she played BC last night and sent a hello to the ozphorians - didn't hear her talk about a tour though, although i wasn't listening much. I am going to go to them Melbourne show,4 days after Interpol....can't wait. Anyone have any news of ticket arrangements?

Well the Palais is seats only. From what I've heard of the Enmore it sounds the same. I'm all for having the OZPHORIA area.
Maybe we should all get tickets together? One person get them all so we are all together (and none of our crew misses out). ?? Will tickets be through Ticketmaster/tek or from the venues? Hmmmm.

guys ... im really starting to doubt this.
don't you find it odd that nothing has been announced? and tickets go on sale in a week. Where the US tour was announced 3 weeks before the tickets went on sale.
There will most likely be, pre-internet sale tickets. So it will be easier to get them.
The only thing about getting a large group of tickets is that when you buy tickets online, it tries and finds the closest section possible. So with large groups it will be hard to find a large area of empty seats close to the front.
does that make sence?
how ever ... it would be freakin cool to have everybody together.

I hate to bring this up, but a situation that would fit:
Billy plays splendour, tour is announced along with Splendours third announcement.

I'm starting to have doubts myself-I trawled the internet last night and there was not one mention of it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though. Hopefully that Splendour rumour proves to be true. The Enmore in Sydney has a relatively large standing area in front of the seats (it did when I saw Janes Addiction in '03) so I don't know if buying seats together would really be the issue if we get in early. If I hear anything about tickets on sale at the enmore I'll post it here-It has it's own Box office, but I assume considering it's corgan you'd be able to buy online as well.

I e-mailed Ticketmaster because they still have tickets for QOTSA first show in Melbourne up, i thought i'd ask if they had any. Obviously they said it was sold out...so i asked about Billy's show and if they are doing tickets for him
"the announcement hasn't been made official yet so I'm not sure if you will be able to help..." is how i left it, hehe...
will see what they say.

"Hi Steven,
We have no word on if or when we are selling tickets for Billy Corgan. I suggest that you keep an eye out in the media for any further updates."

yeah but josh, they have to announce the tour first BEFORE they announce internet pre-sale. so if the tour gets announced today or tomorrow ... hopefully internet pre-sale will to.
pre-sale is such a reggular thing these days - it has to happen!

I've heard that BC has said in interviews that he isn't as uptight about his SMashing Pumpkins past these days - I'm not saying he will play a pumpkins tune, but it gets you thinking...i am looking for a source on these interviews.

I reckon he'll definitely play a few pumpkins tunes. There'd be rioting if he didn't!

I reckon he'll definitely play a few pumpkins tunes. There'd be rioting if he didn't! actually , i doubt he will. he said he never would, and in a recent interview he said again ... there will never be any Zwan or Sp songs played on stage ... unless it was by the same 4 members ... actually, i'll upload the article, its a good read. he says how he can't stomach to listen to Zwan's album, and its the only work he is not proud of. Just the album, no the stuff that wasn't on the album.
