Ok listening to Walking Shade live, and re-listening to some recordings of other shows. The riff Billy plays before he starts the song, the guitar chords sound like a really slow tuned down Cherub Rock, just the opening chords for Cherub Rock.
Now im no guitar person, so I could be wrong. Guitar people - thoughts?
(I may be wrong, it could have just been all the crack I was smoking)

You're going to have to provide an example to fully investigate and establish the truth behind such an accusation.

yeah i can kinda see it, cause he fiddles with a few of those octave style "Chords" before he busted into walking shade.

Yeah you pointed this out to me in Melb i think, and listening to it for the rest of the tour and now on the live stuff i've downloaded. It sounds very similar. I'll get the captain to listen to it closely and see was his guitar brain thinks.

One of my friends told me a while ago that the first few notes of Lyric (Zwan) and To Shiela (pumpkins) are the same, but really sped up.
