Thought i'd make a thread where we can post all the info thats coming out in the wake of its release.
So today we found out that its zeitgeist has been finished, and listened to. Ben Lee said its the heaviest and most intense thing the pumpkins ahve done...
this appeared on netphoria aswell:

this was sent to me anonymously via spfc. the source is supposedly bc's private myspace page, but as usual, the return address was not valid.
i tried to translate as best i could, and made a list below the pic. what does everyone else think???
obviously some of these are going to end up being temporary names...but i think its safe to say the theories about political content as well as heavier songs, are true.
thats the way orchid shades of doom c'mon lets go doomsday clock F# stomp (or FA stomp) god & country united states never lost death from above pomp + circumstances stellar gossamer ma belle from America with love tarantula scars (?) bring the light
-----
I personally dont think this is true. It seems tooooo political for the pumpkins.
ahhh orchid, i remember linda telling me that her and billy were chanelling or something like that when they were writing songs, and she said something about having the same name for a song, and she has a song called orchid too, wander if that's what she was talking about. cool
i Feel like such a n00b around josh, i just know nothing haha
Ah well, atleast now we know that if billy and linda are writing together, she will be the .... the... warm up band if she gets off her arse and finsihes her album

The writing definitely looks like Billy's, especially: - The G on Gossamer - The S's - C'mon looks exactly the same as the original cover of mashed potatoes
i dont know why i do, when alot of people hate her, but i do enjoy the missy higgins, and the best thing about her is each single has 3 b-sides... which not many bands do any more. Pumpkins got a bit lazy towards the end of the career with fewer b-sides, so many they can start off with a bang

Billy really seems to be fixated on the word 'doom'... maybe it's his way of telling Trent Reznor that he loved his work on the Doom soundtrack... *guffaw nyuk nyuk*
The song titles remind me of the upcoming Year Zero album --- same sorta theme by the sound of the track names... It's all very exciting!

Heh heh yeah.
War From Above and all that. A bit of conceptual anti-war/monolithic states theme/s never hurt anybody.
i know what you mean scott and i have the same hopes. Even though Corgan used to write dark lyrics, there was the undertone of love (either good or bad). Its what separated him from other artists. Maybe he doesn't want to write about June anymore.
glad you like the smilies - thought the board needed to be brightened up a bit
but i will keep faith that this isnt a real whiteboard ;D
According to the pumpkin princess (some myspace person, who apparently knows bill somehow...i'm not sure of her connection), the whiteboard pic is real and has been on bills personal myspace page since Feb
