I'll see If I can get my Grandfather to make use of his ABC contacts to get a decent recording of this. It should be awesome, do you think they'll play any of that triple J show they taped for rage in '98?

Does anyone have a Tv Tuner on their computer that they can use, or a DVD recorder, to get it straight to DVD because all the pumpkins stuff i taped on VHS in the past is so worn out  Straight to DVD would keep the quality |

I can record it onto my sony DV cam... so that should keep quality pretty high, although i onlu have 60min tapes.

I guess the hosting will be on after the band that hosts after bloc party, which gives us what, 1 month 1 week to wait. It will be very worth it to see billy host though

i watched the pumpkins hosting rage so many times that i think the tape is about to snap.
Also if it is on DVD, it is easier to skip songs and navigate the tape (ie skip to all the billy bits) that with VHS. Though the James & Darcy one is hilarious, i wonder if it will just be billy, maybe he got linda along for support?

It'll only be Billy I reckon. I hope somebody can get it on zee net for us. Keeping in mind it is 6 hours or so, it would be a BIG download and more than one DVD.

Having a look at the RAGE website it appears Billy Corgan has never guest programmed RAGE before.
James & D'arcy guest programmed RAGE in 1996 (22nd Jun).
Should be great!

I still have my worn out vhs somewhere of D'arcy and James programming Rage. God it was funny. I loved it how they got all pissy with each other. Oh D'arcy I miss you.

I was on the blower to mum and dad three or four times that Saturday night. The downer was they only played Clips from Cornflake girl onwards. I was wondering if they were gonna get Corgan to program. I wouldn't mind catching it for the Zwan clips-I never saw 'em. Also for a bit of New Wave action. New wave is so goddamn cool!  |

I guess it's also possible that they may play the long future embrace video thingy, since it is a "Billy Corgan" special. I'd really love to see the secret gig in full, without the interviews and stuff plonked in the middle of it, although that was done pretty well.
