Scott Weiland - Happy In Galoshes what do you think of it so far? the three guys from No Doubt worked on it, so it's been kind of a running joke that the album is basically ND with Scott instead of Gwen haha. i haven't gotten around to buying it yet, i probably will eventually. I had read that before I brought the album, but I was surprised that they don't play on that many tracks. The album itself is a more refined version of his first solo offering, the brilliant "12 Bar Blues." I like Scott Weiland in STP but his work in Velvet Revolver wasn't the best. He was gold, and he tried to give the songs something, but you know, Slash hasn't written anything relevant since he left GNR. I think Scott Solo really shows how talented a songwriter the man can be, and perhaps if the rock bands he played in gave him more room he could push them into much more interesting territory.

thanks for the review. i tried to get into Velvet Revolver but they didn't really do it for me, and STP are one of those bands i've ALWAYS wanted to get into but never got around to it. do they have a greatest hits?
bought these this week: Whitey - The LIght At The End Of The Tunnel is a Train (i thought it said Whitley when i bought it, oops. only $6 though) Tings Tings - We Started Nothing Kings of Leon - Young & Young Manhood, Aha Shake Heartbreak DVDs: American History X, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Sleepy Hollow No Doubt - LITTK vhs for my collection (25c off ebay)

I've been meaning to get into them for a while. I saw them open for Slayer last time they toured Australia. I was blown away. So I finally brought an album and it's how I've wanted heavy metal to evolve. All the brutality of the more harder edged metal but with this sludgy / stoner rock vibe. I love it. I'm going out to purchase there remaining albums this afternoon.

i'll burn you everything i've got on an mp3 disc and bring it to the gig =) i'd recommend at least picking up So Jealous (the one before The Con) before the gig, since this is their third tour on The Con apparently they're mixing up their set lists a bit more and playing some older stuff.

yeah i can't wait for her gig! i'm annoyed though, i ordered all the albums off ebay, and one seller had three i wanted so i just got them all from him, and the parcel they sent me only had two of the three in there. i don't like my chances of getting the other one off them.

did you ahve tickets bec? i wanna head along.. but not sure if motivation will get me there or not yeah i've got tix. i think i've got a pretty good chance of getting a photo pass for this, so if i do and i get a +1 you can have it. or you can just have the ticket i bought, that would make more sense. Bec - Stay cool as a cucumber and Lettuce know what Kwellers latest is like (translation for those that don't speak Lame: Let me know what you think of Kwellers newie) lmao i had a listen this morning, it is definitely more country but still listenable. i was worried it would be way too far from anything else i listen to to enjoy, but it seems good. it's a pretty short album, i think it only goes for about 35 mins. the album artwork is quite nice too.
