Lanegan can do no wrong in my eyes. so true, I went and saw him with twighlight singers here in melb last year, great show in a really intimate venue. Lanegan is such an enigma, everything he puts out is great, from the trees to qotsa, solo stuff, and his music with Dulli and Isobelle Cambell, not to forget mad season as well.brilliant

CD: Placebo (self titled) that's a great album. when i first got it i remember thinking how bad it was, but once you get into it you realise just how good their song writing was early on. have you heard 36 Degrees 2005? it was a bside on Because I Want You (or maybe another Meds single), it's a live/alternate version and it's fucking AMAZING. if you want it just pm me and i'll upload it ;D

DVD - Torchwood: Season 1 Is this show anygood? A friend of mine really likes it - but other than Red Dwarf - i find UK Sci-Fi a bit naff. ps - In case anyone wasnt aware - Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who (the same lot incidentally make both series!)

The Muses (cd store) was closing down in the shopping centre where I work, I had no idea and just happened to head over there on their last day. Everything was 50% off, but there was hardly anything left.
I DID manage to get:
Joan As Policewoman - Real Life We Are Scientists - Brain Thrust Mastery (after seeing 2 people buy it when i was with them on Rock Camp) Yoko Ono - Yes, I'm A Witch (her songs with her vocals but music and mixes by the likes of Le Tigre, Antony, Cat Power, The Flaming Lips, Peaches)

Met them, travelled to see them etc. But I haven't listened to that album in years. Without You Im Nothing was definitely their best work, they went down hill from there. I used to have WYIN and PLACEBO recorded onto a cassette tape (yes in walkman days! haha) they both fitted perfectly and i woul get through both albums in a day on my bus rides to uni and back. Everyday for months i listened to them. Anyway, i forgot...last DVD bought: The Mighty Boosh S1 & S2 in melbs. I have known about this show for years, but just never got around to getting the DVD's. Now we are officially obsessed.

A friend of mine really likes it - but other than Red Dwarf - i find UK Sci-Fi a bit naff. ps - In case anyone wasnt aware - Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who (the same lot incidentally make both series!) Indeed it is! Captain Jack, the leader/head of the Torchwood Institute and the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) traveled together - the two series are very similar but Torchwood is more grounded in the real world and present time. Plus, Captain Jack is dreamy.

I used to be a MASSIVE placebo fan. Met them, travelled to see them etc. that's cool! damn if i had have known that we could have chatted about them on the tour. i semi-met Brian and Steve on the Meds tour, i never really got to properly meet them though, it was more a case of holding my BMM vinyl over a bunch of peoples heads to get signed. i did have a short connection with Steve though when he needed a texta, haha. Steve has left the band now
