Check out some of the old Zwan threads
Anyways, back to why we're here - Anyone think we could see a real mix from Billy - Some Acoustic, some Rock as well as Electronic stuff? To see everything he has done and is capable of doing put together in one piece?
Then again....no more albums was the catchcry not long ago.

but then again an ep would be more likely judging his current style, but it would be nice to hear a bit of everything put together.

From the guy from Kill Hannah that went into the studio: Hung out in the studio with billy and observed a session of new piano-based smashing pumpkins material which was ultra sophisticated and gorgeous. Also, SP.com updated with this: "Kristin Burns has sent this photo to be released exclusively on the Siren. Pictured is Billy Corgan and UK musician Carina Round together in the studio." More on Carina: www.myspace.com/carinaroundwww.last.fm/music/Carina+RoundBacking vocals perhaps?

That would be great, I would be a little bummed if we get Billy again doing the backup vox, need that contrast IMO.

Lol Billy looks bored. I lik the fact that there are a lot of different energies being put into the mix from the looks.

THE SHREDDER! IS IN THE STUDIO! www.smashingpumpkins.com/pages/articles/week-5-post-2Kristin Burns has released another photo from the studio exclusively to your Siren. The speculation can now stop! JEFF SCHROEDER IS IN THE BUILDING! Yesterday we learned that Carina Round was also in the studio with the band, joining the long list of musicians coming in and out of the space. Also making appearances were Mark Tulin of the Electric Prunes and Daxx Nielsen (Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick's son), of course Linda Strawberry, Kerry Brown, and Jeff Schroeder have been playing and even Kill Hannah frontman Mat Devine popped in a few days ago to hear how things were going. With video Director Justin Coloma and photographer Kristin Burns hanging around, it really seems like a full house

Thank god for that. Really looking forward to Jeff and Billy working together, this might sound like sacrilege but I think that Jimmy not being there will help them build a better working relationship.

Wow, this is incredible!
I got the impression when Billy and Jeff were walking through the Adelaide 'strip' that they had become really good friends, but i worried when it all came crashing down with jimmy leaving, ginger pregnant, lisa working on a solo album...
Cool to see that he's there even if he's just helping out with demos etc..
Presence of a guitar aswell!

Fantastic news.
It kind of seems like Billy is doing the "Broken Social Scene" thing, where The Smashing Pumpkins is a musical collective more than a band at this point.
