i have honestly no idea what record store day is.. edit: and teh website didnt really help they're trying to encourage people to go out and buy music basically and in a way re-create the "good old days". there's been heaps of mentions of it on Undercover, if you're on their mailing list.

i have honestly no idea what record store day is.. edit: and teh website didnt really help OMG! same, i went to the site too trying to figure out what it was.... and yeah got pissed off because it was very vague. not a very well made website content wise...

because not as many people do it anymore..? i don't know, haha. i'm picturing some stores with awesome deals on cd & vinyl and i'll walk in find Tragic Kingdom or Machina or a Placebo single on vinyl and squeal with excitement. but that might not happen....

The Record Store Day Australia Schedule
Record Store Day Australia is being run for the first time this year to reinforce to music fans how special it still is to purchase your favourite music over the counter from a specialist music store.
For one day only on Saturday 18 April, Record stores across Australia will be holding artist appearances, promotions and special in-store offers.

Im totally gutted about the Perth event ... Alex Lloyd! in a town that has the strongest local music scene for the past few years and we get an east coast artist ... at a major retail chain that has been cause of stores like Underground Music, Subteranean Records to name a few that were forced to close down when JB Hifi came into the city. its fucked and totally against what a record store is about.
