I was never a massive fan of MJ, but he did make some spectacular music, and it's always sad when someone so talented dies.
I was excited for his concerts, I thought it might clear the negative attention away from him.
RIP dude

Terrible news. All i thought of today was the craziness that followed him, the thousands of people that would cry and/or be overjoyed by the presence of him, and the happiness he bought much of the world.
When you look back, it seemed like a sad life to live....It took a long time for this to sink in today

It is terrible news. A music legend that changed the pop culture ... it hasn't sunk in to be honest.

I've never really been a huge fan of Michael Jackson. In fact, it wasn't really until recently that I started generating an interest in his work as a way of expanding my vocal influences. But, regardless, it is still a tragedy to lose such an amazing talent.
Condolences also go out to the friends and family of Farrah Fawcett. I wouldn't even want to begin to imagine the sort of pain she must have been in leading up to her passing.
I can't believe two major pop culture icons passed on the same day. Such a tragedy. But, as they say, life goes on.
R.I.P.

I watched the Black & White film clip on YouTube today, Still remember clearly when that came out - was SO BIG! That morphing thing with the faces, he really did some cool stuff.

Oh yeah, all his video clips were groundbreaking, cos he spent so much money on them.
I hate reading all the stuff in the news now about people coming forward about the child molestation stories, they're all just wanting to make some money to sell their stories. its sad.

Meh.
The shitty thing to me is - that MJ was a punchline for so many comedians and people within the music and movie industries - but now he's dead - EVERYONE is coming out and saying how important he is and how much he'll be missed and blah blah blah.
Why didnt anyone care enough to help him out when he was alive. He was accused of some pretty terrible stuff, and no one seemed to care enough to have a word to him about anything. He was broke as a bastard and no one really came to help him put out a new album or anything to help make a bit of money.
He had become a joke. The sad thing is that everybody let him get that way. He was a pretty darn good singer. Remarkable dancer. And (despite the head not always being in the right place, the heart was) and he was a pretty good humanitarian. But the last decent album he put out was nearly 15 years ago.
Hopefully his kids can grow up "normally" and with a bit less media attention.
