Exciting news, which some of you might have seen if you follow me on Twitter or Facebook... Grant and I are expecting a little Pumpkins fan of our own, due in May. We found out about a week or so before the SP tour, but wanted to wait until we'd got through the first trimester before we said anything.
I'll spare you all the gory details, but just wanted to share our happy news. ;D

So, what's it like having a kid? When do you know WHEN to start having children?

As with everything to do with relationships when it feels right although money helps when having babies

Well I can't say what it's like having a kid, our little guy isn't due for another two weeks yet... I can say that pregnancy has been awesome (for the most part - the last few weeks have been pretty uncomfortable). For us, having kids has always been the plan. We were both very open about what we wanted going into this relatioship, and it was just a matter of timing. I don't believe you have to wait for "the right time" because a lot of the time you'll just keep waiting because life is never the way you want it to be. At some point you just have to jump in and hope for the best. Things like having a steady income, knowing we can live off one salary, minimising debt have helped, but big things like not owning our own home haven't bothered us. You have to remember that people have been having babies since the beginning of time, and that they did it successfully with a lot less than we have these days.
