Bree and I managed to score a copy of Spun. We found it a store here in perth [empire memorbillia] it was $52, its region 1 [USA region] but bree's dvd player is multi-regional - aaaaaaaanyway - its such a great film and the music is sooo great. Corgan did an awesome job on it ... there was only one Zwan song i hadn't heard before - can't remember the name though. And Billy only has one line as the doctor and is on screen for not even 10 secs .... hehhehhe ... but was still great

It's not a matter of fun. It's a matter of convenience. I want to watch the movie, it's hard to come across, I have cable internet, it takes about 20 minutes to download a movie. So really, I find it hard to understand why I shouldn't download it I understand the collectors point of view, I myself have spent thousands of dollars on stuff just to hold them and say I have it, but I am also a very curious, impatient person who doesn't want to wait to see something like Billy Corgan in a movie.

Weeeeeeee. just making a post stating my disgruntlement with the trend that the online society follows ---- download it - then you won't have to pay for it. I wasn't paying out on you in particular.

I get the feeling i am very much like Sunky. I will spent a lot of money on frivolous things, such as those even slightly Pumpkins related.
is Spun any good, i read a review saying it was pure garbage...

its an alright film. If you like Requium for a Dream then you'll like SPUN. The story line is ok - the cinematography is exellent and then music - corgan-rif-fic! to justify why i brought it for that much. Its a US only release - region 1. So of course its gonna be a bit more than your standard DVD from here, only like $20 extra. It was a movie never to be released here, has the music done by a man i love and its his only acting part ever! ... so why wouldn't i

No single DVD is worth $52. Billy Corgan or no Billy Corgan. This is what makes sunky and I collectors and fanatics of all things Pumpkins, Zwan and Corgan related. $52 is relatively cheap compared to what most promo discs and indeed bootlegs sell for. It's a REGION 1 DVD. Shipped from the US. Therefore to recoup shipping costs and the buying cost (buying price approx $60 AUD which is approx $32 USD) they have to sell it for around the $50 mark. when you do the math, we got it for a steal. Of course, a lot of people wouldn't buy SPUN, because they don't have multi-regional DVD players. I just happen to have one.

nah SPun is directed by the director of The Everlasting Gaze and Try Try Try clips. I don't think he did Requim for a Dream though ...
