well i recently bought a mellon collie 3LP(un numbered) ;D ;D ;D ;D however i really needed some money to ease the cost, so i decided to sell a couple of cds on ebay to try and make up for the cost. one of the cds i listed was a muse original bootleg, when i checked yesterday it was the only item which had been bid on. However i got an email today saying my item had been taken off because ebay has a bootleg policy which forbids selling unauthorised live recordings. This is pretty stupid since i bought it on ebay in the first place. it wasnt a burned cdr but a factory pressed bootleg. i know the rules are the rules, but im annoyed anyway.

i think i made the mistake of including the word 'bootleg' in the title, there must be a systematic search done or something

Yeah,
I've sold a few of those pokey "Live Unauthorised" cd's on ebay before. Sometimes it has rejected it, but as I think you've figured the key is in how you word it.
In the title put something like "Muse - Whatever" "rare live cd", and in the description be sure to write that it is not a cd-r and put the compnay name and cd number. You should be right, just try and make it sound as legit as possible.
BTW, how much did the vinyl cost you, and was it an ebay purchase?

well it happened again...this time with an AUTHORISED live cd.
i put up the eels 'electro-shock blues show' which was released officially over the eels web page. i made sure i worded it carefully and they still took it off. Maybe theyre watching me or something. *looks over shoulder suspiciously*
btw soundslike quiet all in all including postage it cost me about A$110 from italy. I think thats ok, i really couldnt afford a numbered version which i have seen go for about US$150
