will be the 1st aniversery of Layne Staley's death. he was found on the 18th but his time of death was pinpointed to april 5. same day as kurt. (RIP)
i just want to say that alice in chains was a great band and they wrote from their heart and was so honest in their songwritting. Its a shame it had to end that way, but something good always comes out if it. I had never heard one of their songs until i watched the alice in chains special on rage as a tribute to layne's death last year. thanks to layne, jerry, mike and sean for the music.
RIP layne.

its hard to belive that was over a year ago - i still remember reading it on the O-Board. I wishi could listen to my AIC cd's - but sill ex-friends have them. I do have Would? on the singles soundtrack ... im gonna listen to that now ...
and its been so long since Kurt died ... but still i do remember hearing about it, on the way to school. I really didn't know how important his music would eventually be for me in my teenage years.

Yeah Sunky, I remeber hearing about Kurt's death in like year 7 (was it that long ago?) before school and people were ringing up JJJ and just pouring their hearts out and I couldn't understand why. I never even new how important Nirvana were for years on from then. I would have just never had a clue what his music would mean to me now.....

How bizarre that two great artists such as Layne and Kurt would die on the same day :'(RIP to both Kurt and Layne

yeah, i doubt he did it intentionally, but who knows really.
what i think about when i remember these artists is thier honesty in thier writting. i can't speak much for kurt not being a huge fan, but layne wrote alot about provocative issues, like drugs. (especially on dirt) but when he did that he would approach both the positive and negative aspects. its tragic it ended this way.
