You'd be surprised how many bogans have latched onto them recently. That was my first thought too, considering theyve already toured this year, but i think theyll sell enough to warrent them playing those venues

Pretty Crazy to see Muse and The Killers coming back on the same year they were vital cogs in the BDO - And aren't Tool going to come out in December? That's pretty crazy.

Yeah, supposedly they're booked in for the 1st 2 weeks of december, but nothings been announced, we'll see what happens there. They'll be back at some point soon though. It is extremely odd that all tose bands are doing double tours though, guess it shows they care more about their fans than to just give festival shows. Either that or they like our weather??

My sister and her best friend plan to follow them across the country if they tour.
I think it's great that all the BDO bands are touring again- good for the fans that didn't catch them first time now.
RE: Cygnet
I KNOW! Shit, ever since Supermassive Blackhole and Starlight started getting high rotation play on Triple J, don't the bogans love prog now!?!

I sometimes feel that Black Holes was kind of dismissed as an album - I think it's a great release.

Pearl Jam announces the release of Immagine In Cornice "Picture in a Frame", a live concert film chronicling the band's performances and behind-the-scenes footage from the five Italian concerts that took place as part of the band's 2006 European tour. The cities include Bologna, Verona, Milan, Torino and Pistoia, Italy.
A limited edition commemorative T-shirt will be available for a special price when purchased with Immagine In Cornice here during a special pre-sale beginning August 22.
Immagine In Cornice was directed by renowned photographer, filmmaker and long-time friend of the band, Danny Clinch. The film was shot in a variety of formats from Super-8 to Hi Definition.
"Picture in a Frame is a film I've really wanted to make," says Clinch. "The band invited me to Italy and gave me the access I needed to show a side seldom seen by their fans. It has become a collaboration as well. The band even offered me some music that has never been heard and Mike went into the studio to create some more music for the soundscapes. This is a look at Pearl Jam that no one has seen yet. A trip through northern Italy with the band, through the document and through abstraction."
Track Listing:
Severed Hand (Milan) World Wide Suicide (Clips from all Italy dates) Life Wasted (Torino) Corduroy (Verona) State of Love and Trust (MIlan) Porch (Verona) Evenflow (Torino) Better Man (Verona) Alive (MIlan) Blood (Verona) Comatose (Pistoia) Come Back (Pistoia) Rockin' In The Free World (Pistoia).
Bonus Tracks:
A Quick One While He's Away- with My Morning Jacket (Torino) Throw Your Arms Around Me (Pistoia) Yellow Ledbetter (Milan)

Yeah i did read this, one cool thing about it is that it looks like it will be more interactive and a more documentary of the group. Which is pretty good considering the dvd's they have released which are just shows.
I mean, another long show would be great, but this is a cool little thing to compliment it! And State of love and trust on the set is damn cool!

God, Pearl Jam are so ridiculously overrated, I just wanna say that, what has ever been the big deal? I mean, they're alright, I just wouldn't go out of my way to listen to them. There, I said it. The Pumpkins are always far more compelling. And you know, I gotta say, I woulda maybe possibly thought about seeing the Killers had they not released such a boring second album. I mean, the first one had a few decent tracks, but the latest one's pretty mundane.
And by the way, Grohl is a f**king band whore...it's like "let's see how many albums I can elbow my way onto this year". I mean, what was with him playing with Garbage, wtf? And the Foo Fighters' music hads been in freefall for years now. Maybe working with the same dude who made colour and the shape may halt their descent into mediocrity.
Well, that was angry, thanks for listening folks!

I love everything about Pearl Jam. I truly think their first Adelaide show last year was the best concert i've ever seen. I wouldn't say they are overrated at all, but yes, i don't think they are for everyone (especially these days).
As for Grohl, the last thing he did that i really loved was the Drumming on Songs For The Deaf.

Well, that was angry, thanks for listening folks! I pretty much disagree with you completely. Pearl Jam are an absolutely amazing band- they've really stood the test of time by still touring and releasing quality records. Eddie Vedder is one of my all-time favourite singers and songwriters. Songs like "Wishlist", "Alive", "Do The Evolution", "Brain", "Daughter"...hell, even "I Am Mine". Just fucking great songs that I really connect with. And they sure know how to do covers, as well. Their version of Rocking In The Free World kicks arse, so does Eddie solo singing Masters Of War. As for The Killers...well, they are just fucking magnificent. ESPECIALLY the last album- I can't see why people didn't like it? I suppose most people wanted them to stay the same and make Hot Fuss 2. The experimentation and exploration of different genres the band took on on Sam's Town made for a world-class record to me- especially evident on songs like My List, the title track, Bones and Confessions of A King. I don't care what anyone thinks about them, I absolutely love them; they're all great at their respective instruments and are a really tight live machine. Grohl isn't much of a band whore anymore. Not as much as he used to. Hey, I say let him do what he pleases! Just heard the new Foos, by the way: Two thumbs up! Loved it!

Maybe working with the same dude who made colour and the shape may halt their descent into mediocrity. that's assuming you don't think colour and the shape was already a shining example of mediocrity, like i do. i agree with you about the pearl jam thing though, guy. oh & the killers second is a grower.. it's really not that different from the first album underneath. less synth is not a revelation.
