They annoy me because of the fashion trends they are setting, and how it's become more important than their music.

One of my fave groups who i guess have become a little forgotten in recent times, Hot Hot Heat have their next album "Happiness Ltd" coming out next month. The lead single, "Let me in" has been getting JJJ airplay. such a fun band, hopefully a tour is on the cards. Oh and did someone say Interpol for January next year?

When I heard yesterday I listened to the 24hr Party People soundtrack on the way home, we have the DVD so might watch it tonight. Its weird because Im reading our copy of Touching from a Distance (Ian Curtis bio) at the moment too.
A friend of ours met him when he was out here (last year? year before?). Said he was a cool guy, music icon for sure.

tony wilson would be rolling in his grave at the amount of radio announcers that have no clue who he is but still have to deliver us the news of his death.
guy on 96fm: "i don't reall yknow who he is, but he means a lot to people in the uk, i hear.." ugh.
don't ask me why i was listening to 96..

I reckon!
Our local commercial station a couple of weeks ago on the bus:
"Right now, here's a band who haven't made anything since the 80s but they're touring Australia soon! It's The Cure with Close To Me!"

Lol at adelaide once agasin for not being able to sell out the cure, but selling out the ga section for muse within a day. Gotta love the generic 'chili pepper'* fan contingient. It also seems that noone actually knows who ryan adams is as he's sold fuck all tickets. Lets hope he doesnt take offense to our undying lameness. Could go either way really. Seriously though, it seems like even people who like that type of music in adelaide have no idea who he is. surely there are 1000 ppl willing to part with a few bucks to see his 1st ever show here. gah. stupid adelaide.
*It should be noted that rhcp are one of my favourite bands, i just use that term to denote the bogan/princess demographic who seem to come out of the woodwork for such events.

I take offence to Ryan Adams' underlying lameness almost on a daily basis... *ba-dum tsch* In other news, Year Zero has been remixed and it's speculated that it will be fan remixes. Halo 25 is expected to look like this: source: NINWiki - www.ninwiki.com/Year_Zero_Remixed

They are playing a few shows at London's O2 arena. The last one is Sunday i think and that may well be it unless they announce something out of the blue to close the book.

they will have to play one last final show somewhere, it will be a sad time when they do call it quits. there aren't going to be many bands as big as them, and for around as long as them for a long time to come.

Prince is playing like 20 shows at the moment at the O2 arena, he wanted a house built on the property so he could live there while the shows were on.
i'll be going to his show when he comes out here next for sure.
