As with the many changes around the board of late, we have decided to give this forum a makeover which hopefully will inject some new life into it!
Faith. Love. Compassion. was chosen as we wanted to remind everyone that love is in general a happy feeling -an emotional high, not a suicidal low! Compassionate feelings, faith in one another and ultimately love, is what keeps this world going.
Enjoy the forum, and show us what love-struck, compassionate members we have here.

Fantastic idea admin Bree! I've been somewhat quiet in this forum lately, not because of a lack of "love", but because everything is going so swimmingly in that department. Its been about a year since I set out to win that mysterious Somewhat Damaged guy. Time has gone so very fast.

love is good ... love is blind ... love is drunk all the time ... love is mine ... ... at the original Ozphoria board, the Love forum was 'Love is good all the time' ... i just started seeing the Bree shaped girl when i created it How many couples have we on this board ... like how many people are in serious relationship on this board, and not necessarily people on this board. Hmm i wonder? ...

bah, i liked "love is suicide". i dont think many people understand that song. but anyway:
im in a relationship. fairly serious. im allowed to play my cd's and play sport and be a computer geek. its kinda rare that someone can take in all of that. when you tend to cross so many set social scene boundaries as i do, it gets hard to find someone.
but i guess im just lucky.

love eh.. well...
is love really a single emotion? or is it the existance of particular fellings/emotions in the absolute absence of others?

Like all emotions, it is connected to other feelings and ideas, some good some bad.

I wouldn't mind reading 'Blinking With Fists'... but it's so damned hard to find, nowadays. I'm sure it'll pop up somewhere, though. =) Not particuarly a huge fan of poetry myself, but I'd like to start reading a bit more of it... particuarly deep and meaningful poems.
As for the whole love thing... not in a relationship right now, but have found myself in love with a girl from school (though, technically she's not from school anymore... as we've graduated now). But, me being me, I've been really shy and never pounced on the opportunities when they came along and, chances are, I'll never see her again... which is a real shame as I liked her more than I'd liked any other girl that preceded her and it may take me a while to love again if I can't keep in contact with her. Curse the black cloud that is my shy nature and the rain which pours down upon me from it... =(

Yeah it sucks man. I just recently got lied to and cained by my ex. I was manipulated and feel a bit emotionally raped at the moment.

Wow... I just realised how tottally emo the last sentence in my above post sounds. XD
There ain't nothing worse than feeling emotionally raped. I wish I could offer advice or consolation of some sort, but I'm not particuarly experienced in the field of relationships (in fact... I haven't had a 'real' sort of relationship with a girl in about 4 years) and most of the advice I give out does more harm than good. But, yeah... hopefully things get better for you, dude. Just give time for the scars to heal is all I can really say.

Pre xmas I had something pretty sweet evolving. But somewhere between her going to her family's for xmas and sometime just after new years, she stopped talking and messaging me and such. It was a sudden and totally unexpected cold shoulder of the most bewildering kind.
Weird/sh!t thing is that she seemed pretty perfect. I know - everyone says that. But seriously, I havent met someone who checks as many boxes as she does (so to speak). Its gonna be friggin hard to try and find someone else.

i've been with my boyfriend for over 2 years. It's the greatest part of my life. Love exists, in many different forms and in many different people. nurture your feelings and relationship and allow it to grow.
i don't really like poetry either, but i can see that Cool Gardens (Serj Tankians poetry mentioned by cleanwhitesheets) and Blinking With Fists are really great works. So if you're into poetry...

I think a big part of love is about being patient. I waited five years between girlfriends and now am with an amazing girl. Admittedly, we have only been together about three weeks but it feels like it is something special.
My advice. If you are single, be patient and wait for someone special. If you have found someone, make sure you let them know how important they are.
Love is suicide. I think this is partly true because you give up some of yourself when you fall in love with someone. In other words, you share your life with them, it is no longer yours alone.
