I know there are 5 of us heading down today (myself, sunky, SPchick, hypersomnia and Parka) but can we expect anyone else from Ozphoria?

Managed to grab a setlist from one of the security managers so we have the setlist updated and ready to go! No surprises but they did play 'Set the Controls' without the help of Jesse who would be home or on his way home now.
The fireworks over the river were apparently for a wedding but tied in nicely with the last V Fest show.

Holy crap, I just saw the Smashing Pumpkins in my home town ... insane! Highlight of the night was Billy winking to us throughout the whole show. It was so funny he walked out started playing tonight, tonight and saw me, bree and vic on the front barrier ... he winked at us, then later on in the night pointed and smiled at us ... this went on for most of the show ... at the end though as he was saying his goodbyes ... he came over to where we were and smiled and bowed to us. Awesome! ... more review to come ... awesome to get such a varied setlist too.

Sounds like another good show for them to tie in with the Melbourne V, good to see after it was pretty clear that Billy wasn't too pleased up until that point. Glad you all had fun! Back to reality

Oh and I got one of Jeff's picks - one that he actually played Bullet with ... ... Also did anybody from here SMS the big Virgin Mobile screen? because just before SP came on it said: "Ozphorians I salute you!" ?

Also did anybody from here SMS the big Virgin Mobile screen? because just before SP came on it said: "Ozphorians I salute you!" ? Yep I saw that on the big screen. I was about 5 people from the front and centre - I kept seeing Billy smiling and pointing at the very front and centre and I knew it had to be you guys. I wish I could've had the money and time to do what you guys did - we'll just have to live vicariously through you. I was hoping Billy would apologize for not coming to Perth since 1996 but then he played Everlasting Gaze and I forgave him. What's the best way to post photos on here? Do you just have to link to another page or can you upload directly on the forum?

That was one amazing show, my first live pumpkins experience did not disappoint. I was just expecting them to open with "Today" based on the tour so far, then for them come out and kick off with "Tonight Tonight" blew my mind. The crowd loved it, only bout 15,000 there... sounded like more, i think Billy was pretty happy, he was lapping it up, hard to tell sometimes, good way to end the tour, great set. I'm sure many reviews of the show will have a go at Billy's ego but why can't people just see through ego and just listen to the music, that's what they do best.
Jimmy is a freak, enough said, just to see him play those drums are worth the ticket price alone i think. Good chemistry between Billy and Jeff on their respective guitars as well I thought.
Mosh pit during "Bullet" was the highlight... i believe you call that rock music at it's core.

My way of saying hello to anyone that was there Shame I couldn't meet everyone though That show was absolutely spectacular. I couldn't believe how emotional I go when they came on stage. The fireworks was just beautiful and it seemed the band enjoyed them too! Definitely by far one of the best nights of my life.
