Not a bad recording at all ... so great to hear the ending of Porcelina when the fireworks where going off and Billy was just meshing around on his guitar ... it was really beautiful to watch and now to hear it again.
I can't believe I have a recording of the Smashing Pumpkins show from my hometown. THIS IS AWESOME!

I seriously have to upload the 96 Perth show I think. Is it hard to put stuff on Live Music Archive? Seems to be the most accesible for people ... I've never looked into it before.

This guide makes it really easy - www.archive.org/iathreads/post-view.php?id=61285Do you have the original fileset, or would you be ripping from CD-R? can be, people at netphoria are trying to gatekeep what goes up and what doesn't, so that shitty error ridden recordings don't end up there allegedly. Link?

Thanks Reece, I'll be ripping from CD. Can I ask a probably stupid question, what software should I use to rip the CD's? Is there any reason why I couldn't use iTunes to rip a WAV, then a program like Switch which can convert WAV to FLAC? I'll read through the guide later, that might answer my question. (About to eat dinner, so cant think of reading it) hehe. so lazy. Im going to make sure I do at least one of the shows this weekend.

It'd be much better to put up the original fileset of the 96 show, as opposed to adding that CD-R rip step to the lineage. SPLRA lists 2 sources, one of which seems to be on zomb, though there is no source info so who knows which one it is. I would check on the hub because i'm sure scramble (if he's still there) or maybe someone else would have both, but apparently it's been down for a few days
So, i'd say if you want to put one up this weekend go with the 08 show, assuming you still have the original files. 0.02c
Also, for ripping CDs on a mac, i can't tell you why exactly because i'm not really that into it, but the people who are geeky (anal, whatever you want to say) about this stuff say that xACT is the way to go for ripping on a mac

With alot of my bootlegs, actually majority of them are from the days of trading CDR's with people, so I don't have the original files of them. But yeah I'll go through all the discs and find the 98 shows I have, but yet again they are on CDR.
Thanks again.
