opening with that triple punch was awesome.. bit disappointed by the shortness of the set, such an early finish but compared to last year but at least the festival organisation improved 100fold.. and i just don't like superchrist/unitedstates/that britney song.. it takes up 30minutes and sounds exactly the same, and nowhere near as good as silverfuck..
but reptile was fucking sweet, took me a while to realise, i assumed it was something mashed potatoes before it clicked.. damn that was a good cover, and i'm just glad i got to see hummer live one more time.. fav pumpkins song ever..
jesus and mary chain was good, but strange in sunlight, cant wait to see them on their own.. qotsa's sound was so low, i could hear everyone around me talking for 20m, and their set now blows compared to the nick era, still enjoyable but damn..
totally want a high quality video of reptile! i took some great videos of hummer and cherub rock i'll try to encode and upload later..
sidenote: i'm pretty sure i spotted libertine and some others i assume post here, (only from libertine's avatar) on the way to the festival and at the festival... were you guys staying at a place in newtown just off king street? coz i live right there and noticed some obvious pumpkins fans as i was getting in my car to go.. lol

Josh and Todd picked up Adelaide (Steve, Jessy and I) from the airport that morning and yeah we went back to where he was staying in Newtown and spent a few hours having a look around and getting some breakfast, so you probably did spot us then! We actually stayed in Surry Hills, and got a taxi there about lunch time. The set length was odd. When they went off stage a whole bunch of people just left, thinking it was over. They came back and played 2 more songs, but they still left the stage before their allotted time was up - dont know that i have ever seen a band do that at a festival, they nearly always play to dead on time, or over!

updated with setlist Crowd was insane and pretty effed up cos of queens i lasted til superchrist and then got pulled out. a lot of sydney dickheads there too HERE'S TO GOLD COAST Show was awesome, the crowd was so tame at the sideshow, this is what the crowds are generally like in Auckland so I was pretty used to it. And Josh you are one heavy mofo! I struggled like hell lifting you out of the pit. The guy next to me yelled out something to the effect of "you heavy hippie c**t" made me LOL Who was the guy I was standing with during the wait for sp to come on? He was tall and had glasses and I had spoken with him at the Hordern show as well but never caught his name/username

Just watched Hummer from the Melbourne leg, just made me remember how awesome it was at Sydney V Festival. What a special moment, my first Pumpkins show. Fricking awesome. The whole set went off, every song was so so so good.

Hey guys - I downloaded Reptile, by The Church (that band Billy complained about that no one knew) - Incidentally its an awesome song that Jeff pulled off incredibly well in hindsight. I remember that riff like it was the Pumpkins own.
If you can find it - I highly recommend it - but moreso - The Church. Try and find a best of album, with Under The Milky Way (from the Donnie Darko soundtrack) and In An Unguarded Moment (another classic Im sure you'll recognise)
PS Theyre originally from Canberra - so support local produce!

I realised we still have videos to upload, so here is a another:
Billy talking to the crowd after playing Reptile
Speaking of the Church, fantastic band we actually them play once. It was weird when SP starting playing Reptile, I remember Kez, Jessy and I knew the song, knew the guitar riff but just couldn't place the band.
