does anyone want to hear the new No Doubt song...? it's a cover of Stand & Deliver by Adam & The Ants, first new material in nearly 6 years, arggg. it took me a few listens to get into but it's pretty catchy/kooky. basically because they're not putting out an album before they tour they wanted to release something, so if you bought tix to the tour you get a free download of their back catalogue plus the new track, and they'll be performing it on some 80's flashback episode of Gossip Girl. download me!

forgot to mention - since they gave one link per ticket bought to download their back catalogue, i've got 7 spare links which i obviously don't need. so if anyone wants a particular album/all their stuff for free let me know and i'm happy to give you the link.

i think the main reason is because the know there'll be alot of Gwen solo fans at the shows, so they want them to know all the ND stuff instead of just a few singles. i guess there'll always be annoying fans though who only want to hear a few specific songs.
i PMed you a link. that should keep you busy for the next 6 hours ;D if anyone else wants on let me know.

Oh I found it a few months back. Not Doubt used to be one of my favourites, and I guess they still are. I've always had my love of Ska / Punk goodness.
Favourite, I can't go past Tragic Kingdom. That album means a lot to me still ... Sixteen was one of the first songs I learnt on bass.

www.abc.net.au/triplej/musicnews/default.htm#8"Tim Rogers, Chris Cheney, Phil Jamieson and Josh Pyke are working on a special collaboration project. It's a series of concerts where The Beatles' White Album will be played from start to finish. The shows will be at fairly big concert halls around the country through August. More details about the shows will be released in coming weeks." Chris + Josh Pyke on stage together = goodbye pants. if the shows are while i'm overseas i'll scream.

Phoenix dates announced
August 3 : The Palace, Melbourne, Australia August 5 : Enmore Theatre, Sydney, Australia
Hmm....A Phoenix/Flaming Lips trip to Melbourne would be great, but not sure if i can get the time off. Caught Phoenix in 07 with Josh in Sydney - So much fun. Should be pretty big this time since their latest single had been getting a lot of airplay...i guess that's why the Enmore is booked, last time it was Factory Theatre.

Bec, I don't have any ND so if there are links free I would love one.
I also just discovered the new tori at like 10pm 2 nights ago. Two song/videos are out there, its pretty mellow so far. Such an awesome surprise though!
And in what can barely be described as MUSIC news, meg white is apparently engaged to Patti Smith's son Jackson. And Trent Reznor got engaged. I liked that the news claimed their first official coming out as a couple was at the Star Trek Premiere the other night. He was so excited about that premiere too, and now I think about it he made some comments that day about it being a great day and not even because of the premiere, must have been the day he proposed. Awww trenty.

Nice to hear it goes alright. I think they lost a second member in between records from memory.

I would say ... its not as raw sounding as their previous records, it has a bit more of a polished sound in a way. I still like it, but yeah little different.
