haha that's hilarious Kez! We really are on the same wavelength sometimes!
Well the problem isnt with our drains but with one of our neighbours. Since we're in a unit and there are more units behind us, we all share common drain lines to the main sewerage. SO, the plumber informed me that it wasn't us or the people behind us but it could be one of the last 2 units at the back.
man how could they NOT know their sinks and toilets are blocked and overflowing?!
In the meantime, we have to curb our water usage until the strata group notifies the owners and then gets a plumber in!

Most of the time when you're sure things are going along a little too smoothly, someone drops a bombshell and then your road is filled with broken stones and potholes. Did I mention the quicksand?

I have a candle lit, glass of red nearby and Grace playing in iTunes...
Anyone else doing anything special to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Jeff's death?

10 years and another cash in on his good name with that So Real Collection. Why can't they just leave things be. I mean, Do you think he'd be okay with all this? I know I wouldn't. Anyway, I can't believe it's 10 years. All I did was listen to Blondie and watch the Simpsons, and generally just felt sorry for myself-I can't seem to shake this virus I have!

Yeah, I know what you mean... I feel pretty much the same way. I mean, if they do have good quality unreleased material they should just put it all out at once and not tease it out so they have something new for his fans to scramble over every time a significant anniversary comes around... That said, I'm so glad I now have the version of I Know It's Over that's on the So Real collection. So good... I wish Columbia were able to do something similar to the New Moon double disc collection that's recently been put out for Elliott Smith. The whole thing is great. I guess he was making music for a lot longer than Jeff though, so...

snowman did a cover of Strange Fruit on JJJ like a version the other day, JEFF KICKS THEIR ARSE at this song, probably kicks anyone's arse at it to be honest.
You can't complain at the legacy edition of Sin-e thats the best release since his death without a doubt.

Definitely! I'm with Foxy. Sketches has some good songs, but for the most part I don't really listen to it that much... it was a work in progress and I don't think some of the songs are that great. Whereas with Sin-é the recording is great, there's heaps of interesting covers and banter and all of his own songs sound wonderful.

Yeah Sin-e legacy edition wins, thats the true testiment to his brilliance, sketches was just what it says it is, sketches, he didnt like some of it that much, not that it isnt a great release also, but i love sin-e

I bought 'So Real' today, but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. You know, i really love the second disk of Sketches, that is some of my fave jeff buckley stuff.
One momen of jeffs that gives me shivers everytime is the version of 'Lover, You Should've Come Over' that is on one of the singles...i think it was the Eternal Life single? ugh, i cant remember right now...but when he gets to the end of that song i am always in tears.

Now that we're well and truly on the topic of Jeff... has anyone ever come across audio files of the Live In Chicago DVD? I absolutely adore the version of Hallelujah from that concert (the extra lyrics he adds in towards the end - "it's not the needle, or the vial" etc) and would love to be able to listen to it (as well as the rest of the show!) in iTunes.

ok while we are topic of Jeff's work ... Lover, You Should Have Come Over is by far my favorite track by Jeff. But as for releases after his death, Forget Her. When I first heard this song I was totally blown away, its pure Jeff at his best and the song upsets me in a way - because it reminds me of all the music we have never been able to hear because of his death.

Yeah, Josh, that's exactly what shits me, they just do it to make money. I like Jeff, not a massive, ridiculously huge fan, I just think it's a bit cruel and calculated, but then again what do you expect from record companies really?! If I was his mum, I'd just leak all the rare stuff, stick it to the record companies! I love what Tori did, Atlantic fucked her over so she just said, srew you, I'm gonna release a live CD and an album of covers, you like that biatches!!
And skechers, really, are you really gonna buy a pair of shoes endorsed by Ashlee Simpson, I mean, she looks like she' could fall apart any moment herself!
