feel sorry for josh if he drove up from canberra and now its cancelled.. Thankfully I found out half an hour before I was going to leave to drive up! But I do know people who caught buses up and had booked hotel accommodation and everything... so all that was a big waste of time and money. My next gig is Howling Bells tonight, woo!

Mmm, to be honest the cancellation was a bit of a relief for me. I just have too much uni work on at the moment to fit a Sydney trip in with... Howling Bells were awesome! That was the third time I've seen them - the other two being when they supported Placebo here in Canberra and then again when they supported Snow Patrol in Sydney. I met Juanita afterwards - she is lovely! ;D (see the photos thread ) Also... big news: GOTYE IS TOURING IN LATE JULY/EARLY AUGUST!!! Hell freakin' yes! I'm so going to both his Sydney shows.

You and Clint from The Butterfly Effect are basically good mates now aren't you?
The Vasco Era are playing at ANU next Thursday for $14.50 so hopefully i'm not too late to get in on that action. Got a Kaiser Chiefs ticket for their show which should be a night of fun, Plus The Shins and will hopefully grab another NIN ticket for September.

umm i guess you could say that, he only sometimes remembers my name though clints a good guy, he has the time for fans, which is great ben is also really nice and talkative, but glenn and kurt prefer to talk to the girls that throw themselves upon them, haha so great taht youre going to see the kaisers, that should be loads of fun hopefully theyll play lots from employment! "oh my god i cant believe it, ive never been this far away from home!"

TBE will not disappoint! i havent heard any chevelle! do you recommend any songs in particular? re: overseas, im going to greece for a month should be fantastic, will be my 3rd time tehre. did anyone ever catch the butterfly effect with cog back in 2002 or 2003? they played in some really remote areas of S.A. and it was absolutely mindblowing those were the days! -- two of australias greatest bands, together, on a 'stage' that was actually just a sectioned-off corner of a pub, haha thats love and humility

Got my Shins ticket this morning! Now if i can just track down another NIN ticket for September.
Was planning to see Sparta, i need to start thinking about limiting myself and maybe saving a bit for the (hopefully) SP tour.
I guess living in Adelaide for so long and now Sydney, you have to splurge out on gigs!
