Just read this. I didn't even know they were an item. Well done Ryan. Also, it's already been said, but "Love Is Hell" is a must buy for anyone wanting to investigate Ryan Adams. The first four Ryan Adams albums I brought were "Rock N Roll," "Love Is Hell," "Gold" and "Cold Roses." "Love is Hell" was the first album I played largely based on the lyrics I read inside and the overall title, corny but indeed at the time love was certainly hell for me. It was a "wow" kind of moment for me. So different and so classy. It's still my "sentimental" classic next to "Rock N Roll." "Gold" and "Cold Roses" have since become my favourites out of his collection, but "Love Is Hell" is a consistent masterpiece, the most consistent for me as far as his collection goes.

over the past few years, ryan/the cards became one of the few artists who's releases would truly excite me - right now i can't even name a band that i think will wholly fill that void if ryan chooses to lay low musically over the next few years.
looking forward to reading his novels though - they may provide some consolation..

Hehe how times change.
I was going through some old PM's out of boredom. This is one my 19 year old self sent to sunks way back on December 14th 2005. Just made me think how we have a number of Ryan fans now!
On that random note, off to bed I go

kind of ryan related: GIN WIGMORE TO TOUR ‘HOLY SMOKE’ ALBUM WITH THE CARDINALS Gin’s new album ‘Holy Smoke’ featuring The Cardinals (as in ‘Ryan Adams and….) has just been released to widespread acclaim. And now following their experience recording the album together at fabled Capitol Studios in LA, Gin is thrilled and proud to announce that Cardinals - Neal Casal, Jon Graboff and Brad Pemberton will be playing shows with her much closer to home. Jon Graboff… ‘I'm really looking forward to seeing and playing with Gin again. We had such a good time when we worked on the record… and it's high time for round two!’ Neal Casal…‘Gin Wigmore's new album ‘Holy Smoke’ completely rips balls, and us Cardinal types are beyond stoked that we got to play on it. We're also out of our minds with joy that we get come to Australia and New Zealand to be in her band and play some rock n' roll for the fine folks there. And Gin’s reaction…’I have wished on the brightest star every night since leaving L.A that I would be able to work my magic in getting The Cardinals boys to come to my part of the world to play a few killer shows. And it has actually worked! They are coming! I'm that ridiculously excited I can't even sit still anymore’. The shows promise a hefty dose of the ‘Holy Smoke’ album plus Gin’s earlier hits and who knows what surprises this combination will come up with in rehearsal! They will certainly be nights to remember. Wow, that is pretty cool. The Cards really came into their own in the last two albums with Ryan (As in, it was more Ryan fronting The Cardinals rather than the Cards being his backing band) Cold Roses will always remain my fave though.
Good to see them coming out
