a few weeks ago i got around to watching Juno... which is a flick i've been wanting to see ever since i saw the previews ages ago. really enjoyed it. it's feel-good, it's funny... it's just about everything you want out of a comedy-drama. top stuff. i also watched Rebel Without a Cause... 'cuz i'm cool like James Dean. (my middle name's Dean and my last name's James by the way, ) also have Gandhi to watch... the epic Academy Award winner staring Ben Kingsley. tried on two separate occasions but felt too tired and ended up switching it off. i will watch it, though... i swear it!

Heh heh yeah James Dean is great (I went through a James Dean phase myself at a younger age Check out East of Eden, it is his best film. Just as angsty as Rebel, but it holds the test of time better I think.

i watched "innocent voices", "paradise now" and "the edukators" last week.
"innocent voices" was very emotive (based on the 12 year conflict in El Salvador in the 1980's, and how boys were forcibly conscripted as child soldiers). and "the edukators" was amusing and featured a lot of cool tunes.

Just watched The Darwin Awards on Foxtel (I'm at home with a headache and general sickness) and not only did I enjoy it, but I spotted Billy's big burly security guy! Metallica make a cameo and he's in the background of one scene. I had to rewind/pause a few times but it's definitely him. Radcore.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno
Its pretty good. Some funny moments. Basically its Kevin Smiths take on a Paul Rudd style movie. You get to see a fair bit of tit, couple of punanis and Jason Mews' schlong.

Saw Doomsday on Foxtel Box Office last night. Very 28 Weeks Later meets Mad Max. Some bits were great, some were laughably bad.

We have seen quite a few movies lately.
At the cinema we saw Australia, which actually wasnt as bad as i thought - I didnt mind it. And we also saw The Day The Earth Stood Still - which was pretty much crap, which is a shame because i really wanted to like it.
On video we bought Hellboy 2 (awesome) and we hired the following: Kung-Fu Panda (cute), Art School Confidential (ok, but i fell asleep during it - which i do ALOT), Big Lebowski, Top Secret (SO lame that it was actually funny a few times)....umm there were others i cant remember.
One of the best surprises was KING OF KONG. A documentary about the World Record Score holder for Donkey Kong and a new challenger that comes along. SO full of geeks, SO funny to watch, very very well put together - we loved it.
Oh and we also watched Sid & Nancy (again for me, first time for Jessy and Jonno) Nancy is SO painful, that womans voice - ugh you just want to stab her
Edit: Sorry Kez, I didn't mean to edit your post, I wanted to quote it and mushed the wrong button.

SO full of geeks, SO funny to watch, very very well put together - we loved it. My facebook profile was an homage to this movie at one stage... I loved the referee guy and his quote "I guess I wanted it all; fame, fortune and I wanted all the pretty girls to come up to me and say "I see your very good at Centrepede"' Cracks me up every time.
