Saints and Dockers? I missed it, what was so bad about it? Just shocking skills, stop start footy, two very ordinary teams. Saints tried to defend a lead for the best part of 40 mins, just negative footy....oh well...was good to see them get a win with 3 debutants. Must mention Lenny Hayes who played one quarter only and still got 16 touches and a goal - Robert Harvey racked up 30 disposals - The commentatores said he has done the over 180 times Legend. What can i say about today? Big effort by the Tigers, always glad to see Port go down hehe. And is it just me, or are North Melbourne more dangerous when the odds stack right up against them, big big win. Between Carlton, Richmond, St Kilda and North, there's a nice little battle going on to grab that 8th spot. And in totally unrelated news, Glenelg (yes my local team who have been ordinary for 20 years) have won their NINTH straight game! Beating Centrals who have won 6 flags in the last 8 years. We hadn't won there since 1992 - I'm a happy man! So It's my boys against Brisbane tonight, Josh has the early game tomorrow and in the battle of the Ozphorian titans, Sunks and Foxy go head to head in Perth!

I think I'm happier that hawthorn lost as opposed to beating you guys by 130 odd points.

Im glad So Cousins rumoured to be back playing in the VFL? As hard as it would be to see him play for another team, it would be good to see him clean up his act and I think he can only do that if he gets out of Perth.

Not convined he is ok yet - well, neither is he, but he must be applauded for his honesty. If he came out and said "I'm fne, it's not a problem" and flashed the camera a smile, would that tell us anything?
He's come a long way, but still seems to be in the process of getting himself back together. I think he's well on the way and hope we see him having a kick soon.
Hawks were off their game tonite, good finish but really ordinary game. Roughhead was great though and Hansen and Kerr actually, showed a bit for West Coast.
Also, Priddis - 45 touches!

The off field story of the week was Daniel Kerr getting stung by a Sting ray on Saturday until Graham Polak was hit by a tram that night - Insane.
He was put in an induced coma and may be brought out of it to day to see if he has any brain damage. Fingers crossed that the guy comes out ok, anything more is a bonus. Two teamates were with his (Hughes and McMahon) and obviously witnessed it.
In some good news, the Demons got themselves another win doing Brisbane by a point. Did Adelaide a massive help and i'm sure Josh is happy.

45 touches ... yet we still lose. Be better is the 45 touches made a difference. Can't beleive how bad we are this season ... we are now bottom of the ladder. Terrible.
Also for Polack, its terrible. They've said with the swelling on his brain he may never play again.

I guess a big positive is all that youth that are getting game time in. I like McKinlay and i think Josh Kennedy will be a very handy key forward to come.
Who would have thought losing Rowan Jones would cost a side so much!

hahaha ... yeah Jones was the reason I saw an interview with Ahsley Hanson and he said that at the start of the season the he thought WC were top 4, even without Judd and Cousins ... and I thought the same to be honest. I know we've had some injuries but its no real excuse when you look at our team and experience. Also great to see the Doggies playing good, a team that was really near financial ruin a few years back on top of the ladder. Looking back 3-4 years ago the Victorian teams at the top where down the bottom ... the whole league has gone up side down, but its a good thing, hopefully will get some more Vic's supporting their clubs again.

What is Barry Hall thinking? honestly.
He may have only grazed Waklein's face, but to even contemplate throwing another punch like that....
In other news, Geelong way too god for a pathetic Adelaide. I'm wouldn't label us pretenders just yet, but we are certainly not up to scratch for a tilt at the flag. Big test with Collingwood at the G, win that and we are right back in the mix, especially if Hawkthorn knock off Sydney. But with out kids and Collingwood at the G, we wil need to be at our very best.
My Glenelg boys continue to roll on, 11 straight with a ten goal win yesterday. It used to take us 4 years to win that many!

Haha that is awesome news
Can you let me know a bit about it Sunks? I have a lot of people who would love to hear it
In other news - Michael Braun has announced his retirement and the Swans have suspended Barry Hall indefinitely - A brave and good move i think

haha, no worries. Not to much to tell. It was on the Sunday afternoon news (could have even been Sports Tonight), anyway they showed about 30 secs of footage because they won again yeah? I wasn't paying to much attention until they mentioned Glenelg and I was thinking where do I know that name ... and then it clicked.

Hehe thats pretty cool. It was freezing at the game.
And what a week it's becoming, Peter Bell retires, Aaron Davey suspended by the Dees for a week....looking forward to getting back to 8 games of footy this weekend!
Sunks, has there been any speculation about Mark Ricciuto joining the Eagles coaching staff at your end? It's been a bit of a talking point here, but with Roo just having another child and a lot of business ventures over here, i doubt it would happen.
Adelaide media with not much to talk about...

Also Michael Braun ... big loss to the Eagles, but it will free up some money and the list to get some fresh blood into the mid field.
As for Roo coming here, its a big call but as you say him leaving Adelaide would be a huge choice, plus he has a bit of a media career at the moment too. Everything is all speculation at the moment.

Im starting to know how it feels to be a Dockers fan, the Eagles are playing just as good as the Dorkers lately.
Also, how awesome were Geelong on the weekend. Such a tight game till half time, then it was just like "Oh lets just lift it up another notch" ... and then it turns into a 40 point win ... awesome to watch.

I gave the Dogs a big chance of winning that - silly me
My boys have now lost 5 in a row - Worst streak since 2000 with Sydney at the SCG coming up!

Bad game for Adelaide to lose that one, and i really don't think they are gonna be able to make the top 8 this year. But what a game by the saints and the roos. The roos seem to just be more switched on when they play a quality side, and the saints are starting to string a few together and could be a genuine threat. This leaves Adelaide, Brisbane, richmond and Carlton to fight for the remaining spot in the top 8, and the tigers take on brisbane at the MCG in what may prove to be the deciding game of the year. To be honest i don't mind if the tigers don't play finals this year, it is just good to see them having a go.

Any body doing Dream Team footy? ... Im coming 11th in my comp at work, I have 6 trades left ... and the last 2 games I should win ... I could end up in the top 8! Its my first year doing it too, learnt a lot ... like don't fill your team with WCE players - HAHZAH! We should run another comp here on Ozphoria? Also the tipping here is hotting up, last time I check Jimmy was winning ... remember there is a prize this year, something really special and rare too that we've had hidden away for a while.

I just got the highest score in my work tipping comp and as a result netted a $60 jackpot!
I only got Nth v Coll, StK v Haw, Cron v Newc and Canb v Syd wrong!
