they're pretty flat, but have a very small angle. i thinkgs its the keys in this one as well being rather flat compared to a traditional keyboard

slight, slight angle.
more accurately, i hate keyboards where when i move my fingers up a row, i hit my fingers on the next row of keys. not an issue on any laptop keyboard, but i find it difficult to touchtype on most desktop keyboards, since i barely take my fingers off the keys when i move them around.

So I upgraded my iPhone to a 32GS ... It was something I wasn't planning on doing, but Vodafone offered me a great deal. To upgrade to the new phone I just had to pay out my existing contract (but that was at a 50% discount) and sign on for a further 12 months on top of my current 12 months that was left.
So my payout went from $800 ish to $400. YAY! And my contract now ends 2011, instead of 2010 ... which is cool. I've got no Vodafone issues.
Anyway now I've got my current phone, which I could be selling. My brother might be interested so yeah, but should be able to get $450 for it. Basically a current 3G 16G sells our right for about $900 on the Apple store. Anyway, see what happens.

...and Jessy and I both got iPhones the other week. Holy crap they are so awesome But if you are reading this thread, then you already knew that. We went with Vodafone on $69 caps, with 1 GB of data and free calls to each other.

Ummm... well depends if she uses torrents or not... there is Xtorrent, and Acquisition... now for the illegal side of things... You can get Limewire for Mac too... but yeah... its Limewire.. Tell her iTunes

Xtorrent? Acquisition? Fuck those, Transmission works really nicely.
For Limewire stuff, get Frostwire - in fact, on any operating system, it's better. It's split from the same codebase I believe, but is ad-free, so it's like Limewire Pro, but free.

Its good, but I fucking hate the blue border in expose´ ... it looks terrible. I'm loving the space I got back on my hard drive.

lol yeh the space thing was amazing... i also love when you expose just a single app, the icon in the dock gets a spotlight on it but yeh, love the performance boost too, even for my little old MBP looking forward to upgrading next year.

Its good, but I fucking hate the blue border in expose´ ... it looks terrible. I'm loving the space I got back on my hard drive. I think it was a very stupid move to change drive size calculations to base 10 instead of base 2, now every file size listed on every website is "wrong" - and filesizes between my two computers are wrong, and now when I have a folder containing 4.7gb, it's too large to fit on a DVD etc... STUPID STUPID STUPID MOVE, apple. gah

Oh really? So I haven't regained space, it is just how it calculates space that has changed?
Hmmm that is a little sneaky.

Well, you'd have regained some space as it removed all PPC code, plus printer drivers... just not quite as much as you think.

I think I'll avoid snow leopard... I think half of its features will be lost on me...

Its a nerd upgrade, not really needed ... it is a half release. Although I will say, everything does run a lot faster.

for any of you guys who have a Macbook, what type do you have? i'm considering selling my imac and getting a macbook pro, i'm not at home as much these days and it'd be good for when i need to work on photos during the week. laptops have always annoyed me though, not sure why... any recommendations on which ones i should focus on looking at?

def get a MBP. 15" for the portability. if you can afford and SSD in it, get it. it will be much faster!!!! standard is 4GB ram, so that's plenty. but if you need hard drive space, don't get an SSD as they only come in 128Gb and 256GB (and for 256GB SSD it's like $1200 for the add-on)
And if you want to spoil yourself more, get an Apple Display, they're pretty awesome to keep someone IE home, and plug the MBP in and have a bigger display for stuff... I will be getting one next year when i upgrade my MBP to a new model

What Josh said, having my MacBook has been great. Few guys at work just got cheap 22" displays and just use that for when they are at home working off their laptops. Best of both worlds.
So I just upgraded to iTunes 9. Best new feature is being able to organise iPhone apps in iTunes ... this is what I've wanted for a year now. YES!

oh crap i didn't even think about the screen size thing.... i think that would really shit me working off a small screen now. if i have time i'll stop by the Apple store tonight and have a look. thanks for the advice guys

Screen size aside, I've been working at home on a 13" screen and totally cool with it. Bree does find it annoying for print stuff though, for me with web work I can get by. Anyway, good luck with it.

i didn't have time to play around with the new iTunes yet... will do tonight when i get home, and yes i agree sunks. the organisation of apps will be awesome. and just the other night i was complaining about the itunes store how it's NEVER been updated for a long time, so will love to play aroound with that too.
I want the new nano, with the video, FM and nike stuff, all good. i held out from buying a Flip Mino in the states, so these are just as good, a bit more pricy, but still awesome. so i'll get one soon hopefully...

i went and had a look in the apple store, i forgot the keyboard was black, i don't like it i'd prefer an all white one. so now i'm thinking perhaps i could just buy one second hand for cheap and keep my imac. but i read just now that Gwen is teaming up with Apple! so tempting - www.lovebscott.com/2009/09/11/gwen-stefani-brings-l-a-m-b-to-mac/

the black keyboards are awesome! but you can get white external ones you will only get the white keyboard on the older macbooks which they still sell. but you won't get the power of the MBP's and awesomeness
