umm more matt from muse and sp... i got this acoustic boot from 2000 and they were talking about the glastonbury and how they were playing there and blah blah. The matt said he's been to like 5 glastos before they started playing, then he was asked who the best band he saw at glasto, and his first answer was smashing pumpkins....

2 weeks ago I saw a Pumpkins poster at the Melbourne HRC. Last August they played the "Stand Inside Your Love" vid in the HRC in NYC (but they wrote it as "Stood Inside Your Love") At the signing, I saw a bunch of SP shirts. One guy had a shirt I've never seen: yellow writing with a yellow 'Disarm' face on it.

I was making my schedule at uni and I saw this guy with red hair with a black and red baseball shirt and it had an SP heart on it. I wanted to say "hey man, kewl shirt" but I wasn't sure if he spoke English - a lot people there didn't Guess that's what happens when I become an international student - I feel so segregated.

I was in bed this morning, struggling to find the strength to get up, and Will and Adam were on the radio getting people to call up and tell 'Dad jokes'. One guy called up and said: Dad: What's your favourite band? Son: Smashing Pumpkins. Dad: Huh? That's a bit harsh! Why don't you like vegetables??

The other day at uni I saw a guy wearing a white shirt with this weird black and white picture in the middle of it. I couldn't tell you what the picture was, but there was writing around it which looked strangely familiar!
Woo for that guy and woo for Ruby! ;D

A guy at La Trobe in the lecture before me on Thursday had a silver SP heart shirt on. He had heaps of face piercings too. It was too early in the morning for me to be all "Hey man, kewl shirt!!" Next time, I'll wear my Pumpkins shirt to Uni and see if I attract other Pumpkin fans hehehe ;D

In this weeks edition of NW magazine there's an article on Kurts death (zzzz) with a mention that apparently Courtney was with Billy in London on Kurts birthday, not long before he OD'd in Rome.
yay Billy!

I had the weirdest feeling of deja vu this morning... I had to wake up at 5 so I could give myself a few hours before uni to finish off an essay I've been doing for a while, and when my alarm clock went off and the radio came on to JJJ the lady said "And that was Disarm by The Smashing Pumpkins, which I played for *insert name here* who's doing work on an assignment that's overdue/due tomorrow (I can't remember - it was too early). And apparently also *insert name here* has got the guitar tab for the song too, so I hope he was strumming along there." I swear I've heard that on JJJ before...

I know this is a "Spot the Smashing Pumpkins" thread, but I saw something that reminded me of Zwan, so I thought I'd put it in here.
When I was at tennis last week someone's bike had "Northern Star" written on it, and I suddenly got "...please enlighten the lost prayers of my soul" in my head. ;D

Taken from Leonard Maltins 2004 Movie and Video Guide.
SPUN Schwartzman enters a whole new world when he meets junkie Murphy at the home of dealer Leguizamo. Music video style treatment of the drug culture is nonjdegmental, but so scummy that its hard to find anything redeeming about the characters or the film itself. But if you really want to see Suvari sitting on the toilet, this is the movie for you! Score by Billy Corgan, who also appears in a cameo along with Ron Jeremy, Tony Kaye, China Chow and Rob Halford.

I was just watching a videotape from a few months back when Dexter and Noodles from the Offspring guest programmed RAGE on the ABC. As you know, those that guest program the show take control over the videos that are played, as they represent the band's favourite songs or some of their influences. Anyway, one of the videos they chose to play was 'Perfect' by the Pumpkins, which was both interesting and cool. I remember reading an interview where Dexter said he was a fan of the Pumpkins, and at one stage, they also worked with Butch Vig. As well as that, they also played 'Not the Same' by Bodyjar, which is about the formation of a rock band from members of the public, with the eventual band selected being the members of Bodyjar. In the clip, they are working on the band's stage uniform and at one point, put a 'Zero' shirt on the lead singer. That is all. Thought i'd share.
