Finally got The Gutter Twins album, it's damn good. As I've said before, the best thing to be released in 2008. I recently brought: Ashes Divide - Keep Telling Myself It will be Alright This is Billy Howerdel's (A Perfect Circle) debut solo ep. It's pretty impressive so far. Nothing amazing, but some solid songs. It's still growing on me.

Yeah man, it's really great, their voices work so well together. Atm its pretty close between that and the new Nick Cave for my fav of the year thus far. Good to hear AAshes Divide is worthwhile, thats next on my list, i heard some people saying they were underwhelmed so i was unsure about it... ive lowered my expectations now, i dont want to expect it to be as good as apc, but im really hoping it blows me away.

My opinion of the Ashes Divide album is that yeah, it isn't the songs themselves that are bad, it's just the flow of the album. Billy wrote some real amazing songs on this one, and as time goes on I'm learning to love each of the songs individually. The thing that lacks is the flow. That is the only part that stops it from being "mindblowing." That being said, I still hold the album in very high regard. Billy Howerdel is an amazing songwriter. This album proves he can stand out on his own and time will no doubt prove he has the goods to take his solo stuff on an even grander route.

i finally got the new cog album a fortnight or so back. is a top album think i like it more then the new normal I'd have to agree, although they are both such strong albums that skipping from one to the other can prove deadly in deciding which one is better. I'd say they are both awesome for different reasons. Still almost three or so weeks in and "Sharing Space" has yet to leave my cd player or ipod. Just can't get enough of it. Can't wait for the live show.

Blur- Think Tank I have a man crush on Damon Albarn, the more I hear the more amazed i am by him. I also got Gorillaz Demon Days live DVD recently, great stuff... except for Shaun Ryder... he does exert his personality on it, so he does his job i guess, but i cant help but cringe and wonder what compels someone to do that many drugs.
Good to hear you liked Joan Kez, I heard a rumour that she'll be touring soon, whether that means adelaide is another thing, but i think id be willing to travel to see her, i love the whole album heaps and there are moments that just absolutely flaw me. New album is out in June i think... wow, thats soon.

aussie pressings would be in card sleeve. otherwise, cat #s are the best way 2 tell Disarm is a card sleeve, catalogue #7243 8 92309 25 Today is in a jewel case, catalogue #0170 465018 28 those numbers mean nothing to me, so anyone feel free to tell me =)

I think the Today single is the UK pressing, the spine should read: "HUTCD 37 0170 465018 2 8". Pumpkin UK cat no's are generally referred to by their Hut id, eg HUTCD 37. Also, the disc itself says "Made in the UK" on the left.
I don't have the Aussie Disarm single, but if that is the Aus pressing, should have just the mid-section of the cat # (8923092) printed somewhere. Or on the sticker on the front (if it's still there).

We watched 'True Stories' - a mockumentary from the 80's written by and staring David Byrne (from Talking Heads), it also had John Goodman in it! It was very funny and strange in that great Talking Heads way. David Byrne is one strange man. A few years ago Jessy and I went to see him perform his musical about Imelda Marcos as part of the Adelaide Festival. It was surprisingly entertaining, and as always his songs were very catchy! haha.
