The Living End - White Noise album & single Placebo - Once More With Feeling 12" SP - Siamese Dream 12" the last two i scored at Polyester Records in the city on monday, i'm so happy! they made up for my crap day at the Living End signing. they had alot of vinyls by bands i know other people on here like - heaps of Ryan Adams, Radiohead, they also had Gish there for $30 which i might get next time. it's on 299 Flinders Lane, i recommend checking it out to anyone who hasn't been before

One Day as A lion- s/t EP. Really impressed, the fire is well and truly alive and kicking. One citicism is the garage rock distorted vocals which is obviously part of the aesthetic does tend to obscure the lyrics now and then, but theyre in the booklet and anyone interested in what zack has to say will be reading them anyway.
Buffalo '66. I really like vincent gallo, i dont know why, but i do this movies great, not easily digestable, but totally effecting.

To be quite honest i was very unenthused about the ratm reformation, it felt like blantent money hungry bullshit, but this feels a lot more vital for mine. Having said that i totally get why people are turned off by him, i dont think you're alone in that opinion. @kez, is Jessy coming to melbourne for conor?? I still havent booked plane tickets, we can party down. woop!

Oh man - THe Con is brilliant!
Foxman - I thought i liked ZDLR til I heard Audioslave. RATM are so much better without him - plus Cornell is god! Although - One Day As A Lion kicks ass - i love it! (ironically - as i write this - they are playing Audioslave during the footy replay....)
I got the new Motley Crue - its sooooo funny. The music is as awesome as it ever was - but all the lyrics are all "remember that time when we played at the whisky a go go - and the girls all came up to us after the show..." - its a total trip down memory lane for the boys. Its as lame as it is brilliant - mostly lame though
Cant remember if ive said or not -but i got Birds of Tokyo's album Universes - I love it soooo much. Good melodic hard rock!

yeah i much prefer audioslave to RATM, but I know thats a sore point around here... I do feel that the reunion was just a ruse to get Zack's name in the lexicon so he could release whatever his solo thing is, with some acclaim.
Re: Birds of Tokyo, I really like their songs, but they guy singing has the whole really loud breathe ins that really shit me.

I reckon I must be the only person that could not give a shit about Zack De La Rocha and what he has to say. Nope Im with everybody else here. I lost a lot of respect for RATM since they reformed ... with no new music, no plans to release any new music ... it was just going against the anti-establishment view they had always stood for. Got the new Bloc Party record (the internet pre-order thingo) not bad, kind of like it better than the last record I think.

if we all were just a little more like Chocolate Rain the world would be a better place.
Jimmy - no we arent going to see conor, jessy is a little sad, but we didnt know about the gig until it was too late. Perhaps i can slip you some money and you can grab her a t-shirt or something. When is the gig exactly?

Scars On Broadway - Self Titled
Being a huge fan of System Of A Down I was really fucking impressed with this Album. I really dug Serj's solo album, but Daron has managed to deliver quite the solid rock album. I love it.

In Birds Of Tokyo his vocals although interesting and crsip bore me and annoy me after long periods of listening.
