Yeh i'd love to see Denver take out Lakers. and they won the 2nd game today!!
I'd love to see Cavs win too, they've never won a championship, but wow magic took the 1st game... even though lebron scored 47!!

2 Potentially great series here. LeBron was amazing in game one, but the Magic just look so good as a team.
Not sure if i've mentioned it here, but to make a good run, you need an x factor, someone who will step up and provide another option, do the small things. Guys like Posey, Gibson and Vujacic have done this in the past. I think Mikael Pietrus is that man for Orlando this year. Can hit a shot, defends Lebron reasonably and provides a lot of pressue off the bench. Some may say Turkoglu, but he's always been a reasonable player. Is stepping it up bigtime though.
For LA - Is Azaria that man? Odom has seemingly gone back into his shell as he too often does. Who can Cleveland put in that category? Will Delonte West raise his game further? and for the Nuggets, Nene? I'm not sure.
Got Orlando-Cleveland game 2 live just before i run off to play football tomorrow, great way to start the day!

Guys like Posey, Gibson and Vujacic have done this in the past. I think Mikael Pietrus is that man for Orlando this year. Vujacic has not done shit. He is a disgrace... But I do agree with you're point, guys need to go over and beyond what is expected... I think JR Smith could be the guy for the nuggets, he has a habbit of going white hot! I honestly think that Denver is capable of going the whole way... Probably the best starting 5 of the four teams left and playing good team basketball...

JR Smith - Yes, good call....thats the kinda guy. Foxman, I'm talking more about last year in regards to Vujacic, he did a few nice things...not to the level of the guys i mentioned before i know.
I'd be totally cool with Denver taking it (Especially if they advance of course) they would be #4 in most peoples minds now. I'd love to see Billups prove people wrong if the get through.

Yesterdays Game, Orlando-Cleveland (A shocking game btw)
4th Quarter: THAT foul called on Dwight Howard for the block on Lebron while Lebron went for 3 and Howard come from behind.
Did anyone see it?
I can't remember seeing a bigger bullshit star call ever. Blatant cheating by the referee, an abolute joke. I like both teams and players, but can these star calls please be fucked right off. I jumped out of my lounge seat after seeing it...absolute crap.
Nothing new i know, the stars get the calls, but this was way over the top/
A couple more calls like that and the "NBA is rigged" arguments will come back ala the Lakers-Kings and Sixers-Bucks series earlier this decade.
Lakers-Denver today, won't talk about it as there is a replay tonight some may be keen to catch

If he was passing more in the first place they might be better than 3-2 down!
Hash call i know, but i think it's true

totally fair... Cleveland play so much better when their strategy isn't just spacing the floor for Lebron... When they are down it's what they always go to and it gets them into trouble... The dominated the regular season by playing team basketball with good D but the playoffs are a different beast and when the pressure came on they went back to the let Lebron have the first 16 seconds of the shot clock and if nothing happens then try the team game... In other things I was rooted after work tonight and felt like just relaxing... watched this... fucking great stuff. (you'd agree wouldn't you Steve ) www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=616A5EB599A2A8A5&search_query=Celtics+vs+Lakers+game+4+2008+NBA+Finals+part The whole game is there!

I'll give Orlando one at home - Lakers in 5. Orlando have a great team game going, but Kobe and Pau won't fuck it up this time...

Result: LAkers in 5
MVP: Kobe Bryant (31 ppg, 6 rpg, 5 apg) X Factor: Trevor Ariza MDP: (Most disappointing player) Rashard Lewis Biggest Blowout: Game 1. LA get the jump on an inexperienced Orlando to win by 15 Headline/s: "Team effort beats Magic at their own game"

I know I dish out alot of hate towards Lebron... But I'll always stand up for Dwight... Josh, Centre is a physical position and thats why people like Dwight and Ben Wallace (in his prime) can dominate because they use their superior strength... You'll find that every centre will get away with the odd push or shove, but most of the time they aren't using their hands, they'll position their bodies or strength to box out/jostle for position... I'm sure Dwight probably gets away with a fair bit, because NBA officials always seem to be starstruck...
Lebron will get away with numerous travels... look at most of the dunks he does in transition. He'll get away with a lot of carries and will almost always get a charge when a block is the right call...
I will allow criticism of Dwight's offensive game... He's got nothing outside of the dunk and his little hook... no outside game what so ever...
Sonics connection ftw.. Go Lewis! Go Magic!

some funny trades over the past couple of days.
Jefferson to Spurs for Bonner, Finley and Omberto... Obviously a salary dump for the Bucks so that they can tie down Redd, Bogut and Charlie V... They came close to the playoffs last season, so I don't see this as a hugely lop sided deal like everyone else is saying... Good deal for the Spurs too!
Shaq to Cleveland for Wallace, Pavlovic, Cash and a second round draft pick.
Suns obviously looking to offload some Cash... I think they will be praying Wallace does come through on his retirement so they have 14 or so mill to play with for this season. Other than that its a fucking rubbish deal, they got no one in return.
Cleveland are going to have to drastically alter their play to accommodate for Shaq... I can't see this move alone making them any better for next season... Shaq's expiring contract next year is great news for them though. As for the Suns, purely a cash shedding move...
Obviously Dwight smashed the Cavs in the ECF, but the rest of their team also choked. Their closest eastern rivals Magic and Celts both have centres that can do decent jobs on Shaq (dwight and perkins) and I think this more of a long term cash kind of deal as opposed to a next season move.

Suns got Pavlovic (Not terrible) and a pick in the 50's (meh) and 500k also.
Draft day tomorrow, should be interesting - Just who will go to Memphis??

I'd take Hasheem Thabeet in a heartbeat.... Don't rate Rubio.
Hope Patty Mills gets drafted in the first round!

NEW SEASON.... I watched a special on the lakers last night... Gee Kobe shits me (Happily acknowledge him as the best player in the league)... and his 'game face'... so stupid... Not really much for KGs head banging on the support thing... Reallly don't like Lebron's Chalk throwing routine either, though it is a great photo. so glad Cs beat the cavs.... They haven't won at the Q for some time either! Good win for the lakers, though Griffin missed the game with a busted kneecap... Wizards upset the Mavs... Portland off to a good start too, Patty Mills in street gear.

3 and 0! love it!
Watched the game against the Bulls. they're looking good. my argument with one sided lakers fans about the C's bench, is, its got to be the best bench in the league... at one point in the game, the C's bench to the Cavs was 17-2 points...
And LOVED seeing Mavs beat Lakers!!
And sucks about Blake Griffen being out for 6 weeks. would of been a diff game against the Lakers if he Played.
And my west coast team the Nuggets put up a tough game against Portland, good game though. and Carmello with 41 points!
