Billups and Mcdyess to Denver. Allen Iverson to Detriot... Did not see that coming, I don't know about that move for the pistons... I really don't.
Boston had a shocker against the Pacers the other day.

yeah crazy, i was having Melbourne cup banter over e-mails with 4 friends this morning and then one posted the article - Complete shock
My biggest suprise is Detroit pating way with Billups, thought he would be there to the end.
Interesting that McDyess apprently doesn't want to go to Denver. Perhaps Denver will buy him out and he will stay with the Pistons? Could happen.

yeah from what i read, thats what will happen, re mcdyess.
Billups was the reason why the pistons won the title those years ago, I also reckon he's the reason they havent won any more... Good play all round. Plus Iverson's contract expires next year, the same yeah that Lebron, Chris Bosh, Dwane Wade and some other high profile players become free agents.

Yeah that offseason on 2010 is going to be crazy

I hear that Rasheed Wallace goes of contract that year too, so the pistons will have ALOT of free cap space, they could go hard for Lebron or get two of the 03 draft class (like bosh and wade).
Other news, Celtics beat the Rockets today... good bounce back after losing the the pacers. The are really going to have to pick up their road performances...

Monster game from Amare Stoudamire today
51 points, 11 boards, 6 assists, 4 steals on 15-17 shooting.
The Suns only won by 10 because no one else did ANYTHING, hehe.

yeah i saw highlights of that while watching the piston/raptors game and watching the celtics smash OKC...
Spurs and TWolves is going down to the wire!
Pheonix are past it, they need to start rebuilding. Dish off nash and shaq while they are still worth some cash.

So, it's now saying Stoudamire had 49 - WTF! Stupid ESPN.
Tony parker had a huge game for the Spurs - 55, 10 and 7.
Hmm...what else happened today?
Lebron had 41, 7,6 and 4 or so, And Mario Chambers (Miami's other rookie) Set a team record and tied a rookie one with 9 steals today - Miami spanked Philly (I am so off them haha) And 20 points, 9 Assists for Derrick Rose, in a loss And how about Atlanta! Undefeated and get the win again the Hornets! (With Peja and Chandler no less)

Caught the end of the spurs/wolves game (can you tell I've had the day off?)
Parker's basket to tie in OT was just the definition of a clutch play. They were inbounding with 2 seconds on the clock... Could not believe it...
So theres only 4 teams in the NBA that are undefeated (LAL, UTAH, DET and ATLANTA) The competition seems alot closer this year... Though its only game 4 of 82...

well now everyone has been defeated...
Watched the celtics play today. Threw away a 15 point lead in the 4 th to just hang on against the knicks. No Garnett because of the suspension over the Bogut incident (I thought it was pretty soft to suspend KG and not Bogut... the refs looked at it during the game and decided that the technicals was a sufficient penalty... It just hurt Milwakee more because Bogut already had a technical and therefore had to be ejected... Also search on youtube for a incident between Shaq and Rodney Stuckey... Shaq didnt even get a slap on the wrist.)

The Shaq incident:
He did get thrown from the game (obviously) but no suspension. Did cop 25k for his actions afterwards, i think he just needed a LOT of convincing to leave
Now what shits me is this:
Bogut was maybe a little clumsy in coming down... but to get ejected for that? (Garnett gets a game suspension)

nah Bogut only got ejected because it was his second technical foul, which is an automatic ejection

Also... Watch Bogut's hands at around 17seconds into that clip... He does pretty much the same thing that KG did, but he hid it in the play whereas KG didnt... I think KG copped a suspension because there was an incident with Jose Calderon a couple games back where KG was clearly taunting him but there was nothing done about it and subsequently alot of bad press for the NBA.
Admittedly I go for the celtics now, and I like KG and hate Bogut (he is such a fucking wanker... absolute spanner, over rated player. Doesn't do shit for Aus basketball). Is it biased that I reckon Bogut should have had the same penalty as KG?

Oklahoma are copping a SPANKING today
32-66 Down to Cleveland at halftime. Scary thing is, no one from the Cavs has scored big as yet (Sczerbiak leads with 13 from 15 mins, 10,3 and 3 to LeBron)
Wonder how the second half will play out

yep, too many teams in the NBL. an A league style thing is needed. Geez the WNBL is much more exciting. Speaking of which... Does anyone get into the WNBL much?

Yeah it's insane - I think Marc Iavoroni's time is coming to an end also - Although Memphis are playing a little better. Writing on the wall perhaps.

yeah but in all fairness... PJ Carlisimo is a truely awful, and while I hate the thunder with a passion, sacking his ass was a good move...
Sam Mitchell was a tad unlucky I reckon, wasnt his fault that Jermain O'Neil wasn't pulling his weight...
The sacramento coach, well they have been god awful, but without Kevin Martin so who knows... I watched memphis beat the Heat yesterday, they played quite well, but the heat also sucked. OJ Mayo is my rookie of the year.

Yeah he has certainly been disappointing - I think they will get it together in the second half, but i'll admit - I thought they would push for home court advantage this year. Woah.
From the - Oh my god, someone is dumber than the Knicks file:

I caught the first half of the lakers v magic game before heading off to the gym today, I must say, the magic look terrible in the paint, but have enough outside scorers to do some damage... Cavs and Cs have the east wrapped up I reckon...
Then again, I reckon the Lakers strategy still is to get the ball to Kobe... They don't have the depth they did with shaq and the like.
I tell you what, I'm looking forward to the game on Boxing day (american christmas day), Lakers V Celtics...

The way Rondo is playing makes me think the Celts matching/beating Chicago's 72-10 win record is a more and more likely possibility
