Hey everyone! Thought you might like to know that today marks the first introductory post by sunky in his new Pumpkins Media Militia role. the story of sunky so far: www.smashingpumpkins.com/news_4039Be sure to point your browsers to www.smashingpumpkins.com/ to read what he (and the others) has to say. Maybe leave him a message of support if you're a member at SP.com (if you're not, then head over and register!) or suggestions about what you'd like to see him tackle in his upcoming articles. So what do you as Pumpkins fans want to see the Media Militia write about? Have you got a burning question you always wanted to know the answer to?

Thanks guys, been a bit of a backlash around at other forums. Saying its unfair the people that where chosen where picked from already existing communities etc ... can never please everybody in the entire SP community. Just sad that people have to rip it apart, the band are trying this to promote conversation between fans and now its just causing jealously and people bitching. But anyway, expect some exciting articles from us all ... Im looking at getting some answers on a few things.

There's always going to be the douchebags that will challenge your every word, but mostly it's all fuelled by jealousy. We've seen that even in the early days of Ozphoria.
I for one, am really looking forward to seeing what the other writers tackle as far as article topics are concerned and how the site changes over the coming months.

Thanks man! Yeah her photo's are great, she was just a fan that replied to a MySpace bulletin ... and we organised a photo pass. So when SP come back here - photo passes for all! Already got my next 2 articles underway, its be fun rediscovering things I love about the Pumpkins doing this. But also being given access to the band will be good too ... so any facts you want answered let me know ... I'll do my best!

Hey So i'm just about to book a holiday of ~4 weeks in usa from Aug 8th thru sept 3rd and I just got this blog. I have plans for the first week but after that I could probably attend 2 - 3 shows. So if you'd like me to take photos etc i'd be more than happy to. blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=9685952&blogID=411505722 6:16 PM - More info on the tour in August As previously reported, The Smashing Pumpkins will be heading out on the road in the United States for a few weeks this August. The last tour of the U.S. by the band consisted of mostly larger venues. This tour will prominently be booked in smaller venues across the country. Cities that they have not played since reforming will be on the route. Smaller venues means less tickets, and tickets will most likely go very quickly. Keep your eyes peeled! Dates and cities are still forthcoming but will be revealed ANY MINUTE. These shows should not be considered part of the 20th anniversary shows that will be occurring later this year.

Will Chicago get a show? (Is the Double Door an option?)
And will Metro be saved for the Anniversary?

PS - Thanks David (Eye) for your help with it all No problem . I wonder if and when the other Simon will post his article. He think he sent or was supposed to send some questions to my brother Steven to answer, and Steven had sent him mp3s last night of the two Act IV radio documentaries for some more background information. Speaking of which, we will be adding the 2001 documentary back to site after several years absence sometime tonight for the 'Act IV rewind' segment I started earlier this year. As for Pumpkins Day for me. I just back from school and have another class to go to later, but I am currently listening to my virtual 2-disc best of Pumpkins compilation I made awhile back spanning 1988-2008. I think I made a post about hypothetical best ofs on here awhile back.
