I couldnt get past "One thing you should know...Bob is a firm believer, as I am, in the power of prayer and the law of attraction as found in the book "The Secret." And he utilized both to make this happen, which I find tres cool."

7 days to go and I'm getting pretty excited. We're taking the cats down to Mum's place on the weekend to get them all settled in. This is the part I am not looking forward to. Our house will feel very quiet in the days before we go.

i'm really excited about going to NYC too - so much shopping! and now we can go up to the top of the statue of liberty, that'll be cool. i plan on coming back with a tonne of awesome USA chocolate. i wonder if you can get 1kg bags of those hershey's kisses? yumm

hershey's chocolate over there is WAYYYY different from what we have over here. its disgusting and tastes like Vomit.... i wouldn't get too excited over it Bec. I had some last year when a friend bought some back... it was gross.
oh yeah i'm totally gonna make the most of my time in NYC!!!!

I remember when i went, you saw all these typical USA goodies in the vending machines in high schools over there, Peanut Butter Cups, Butterfingers....And I actually used to eat that kinda stuff back then (15)..are those kind of vending machines in Australian schools??!

I think generally kids get that stuff from the canteen, I can't say I've ever seen a vending machine at a high school.

btw, i'm loving a eurail pass. i can be as unorganised as i want, and travel anywhere in europe (kinda ) a band i like is playing in freiburg, jump on train, 7 hours later in the town for the gig, dont wanna see harry potter alone? jump on train to frankfurt to watch with friends. sunday going up north on other side of germany to see same band again, before training back to family monday for cousins birthday. its perfect for me as i have nothing planned well, apart from 2, possibly 4 more festivals in august... incase i dont jump back on before i leave, have all you peeps heading across to america very soon!

whats the premis of the eurail pass? what does it enable you to do?

Post by boelsen on Jul 16, 2009 21:21:55 GMT 7
you pay a price upfront (in my case 1600AU for 3 months) and it lets you travel on trains within 21 countries in europe, discounts on ferries etc. i can use anything i want in germany (trams, trains, bus, intercity express trains etc), not too sure about toher countries, but if you show your ticket with confidence that you're allowed on with it, people havent kicked me off as they arent too sure either

Bec (and josh) when in NYC you should track down a Bakery called 'BABYCAKES' they are meant to have amazing cupcakes, and as i cant eat one myself, i want one of you to do it for me. I bought their cook book that came out last month.
