Hey hey from San Diego! Bec - that is so cool! Grant is insanely jealous. Josh - How crazy are all the mountains? Totally different landscape to Aus. You should see what it's like at Yosemite. We lost our shit over those mountains and valleys. San Diego is pretty cool, weather is great, hotel is good and has decent wifi in our room. Hotel in San Francisco only had wifi in one corner of the room so you had to sit on the very edge of the bed, weird. Today we are picking up our rental car, and I think we are planning to check out the La Jolla coast. Should be good. Went to the SD Zoo yesterday, that place is massive. It seriously took us all day, and we still didn't see everything. I've uploaded a bunch of photos of adventures so far to my Flickr www.flickr.com/photos/miss_vic

well well welll.. i just got back from an interesting night. soooo met up with Linda and Justin at the fashion show, was sooooo bizarre. and SOOOO hollywood. with the way people are dressed. met some really cool people too... the man himself Billy C rocked up, said hi to him. thennnn something happened... which i dont know what because i got seperated from linda and justin, then when i met up with them, she was upset and they left.... soooo i really didn't know ANYONE at this thing... found the one girl that i remembered her name, and hung out with her and her 2 friends. we then left after the show to go to a bar, and had a blast. they were pretty awesome. and nowwww i'm back at my room i'll put up some pics soon.

enjoy Canada!
i went to Disneyland today, holy crap my feet are SO DEAD. it was cool but not 'amazing', i'm not really into disney stuff or rides though. Indiana Jones was the most fun, didn't do splash mountain (sorry to disappoint you Josh). tomorrow is our last day in Anaheim (*tear*) so we're just going to check out that california adventure park thing, downtown disney, and go back on a few rides maybe. then i'm off to NYC on friday, yay. kind of wish i was heading home though, i'm ready for my life to go back to normal.

NYC is so cool! prob my fave place i've been to so far on my trip, way better than LA. i've been here since friday night and fly out thurs evening. i was staying with a friend until today so she showed me around alot, especially Brooklyn cos that's where she lives. we've been hunting for LAMB and Harajuku Lovers (Gwen's clothing lines), i went shopping down Broadway in Soho, did a bit of fifth avenue and stumbled upon one of the places they film Gossip Girl, went to Little Italy for dinner which was really cool, walked down Wall St and past Ground Zero (pointless, you can't see anything), and walked over the Brooklyn bridge.
on my to-do list for the next 2.5 days (if i can fit it all in) is: Washington square park building where Friends was filmed CD shopping Bryant Park 5th avenue shopping Rockefellar Plaza M&M and Hershey's stores Trump tower Central park (including zoo, and strawberry fields) Museums - MOMA, Guggenheim, and a design one The Rock Empire State building Madison Square Garden statue of liberty Macy's
it's alot! i hope i can do it all, or at least most.
Sunky - there's this blues club around the corner and Slim Jim Phantom is playing there the night i fly out with a few other musicians, i'm so annoyed i'm gonna miss it! also on thurs night there's Blondie supported by The Donnas playing at Coney Island, that would have been cool to go to.
oh and i've found some more SP goodies here - TAFH 5tk sampler for $7, and an Adore bootleg. also went to Guitar Centre looking for Billy's guitar (they didn't have it) and the guy told me James used to be a regular customer of his, and the band had an account there.
so sad my trip is almost over. if it wasn't for about 3 people who i want to get back to i'd be happy to stay away for another month.

oh and on another slightly more angry note - customer service in retail stores here is horrendous. in a few cases i was treated really well (those people were probably on commission), but 90% of the time people have been incredibly rude. examples include:
Century 21: asked about 5 different people if they had LAMB by Gwen Stefani, they all said "i don't know" which then turns into "no we don't have it". there was a rack right around the corner. also asked a girl who had her back to me if they had LAMB bags, she didn't even turn around or answer me, she just points to another room.
Loehmanns: i ask a sales person walking past if i can get some help with the handbags, she keeps walking and completely ignores me. i thought maybe she was coming back to me so i waited, but she just came back to the area and kept on working.
random store: i wait 15 mins for a fitting room and another 15 mins in line to pay. the line was ridiculous and when i get to the register they're just standing around hardly working. the girl stuffed up my payment and charged me less so she had to put my CC through again, then she over-charged me but didn't say anything. i heard the other sales girl whisper to her something about it being the wrong amount, and they just gave me the receipt to sign. i said "isn't this supposed to be $18 not $18.99?" and they're just like "yeah" and stood there. i asked for $1 cash and just walked away, i was sooooo angry!!!!
anyway that's my rant for tonight. it only seems to be in clothing stores, i guess they all hate their jobs. people at food places are pretty nice.

i just remembered - when i was in NYC at the Rockefeller Plaza i was just wandering around and saw this guy who looked exactly like a 50yo version of Scott - anyone agree? (btw i cropped the original photo, it was zoomed out and i pretended to take a photo of the statue)

bwaaaahhahahahahahaa i had a scott lookalike sitting across from me on the train yesterday, i twittered the pic. i snuck a photo too, but couldn't see his face in the photo... i had to do a double take. we've come to the conclusion that Scott is a clone, and there are many others out there. Beware. My spotting was a younger version too... who lives in Melton
