Ha Todd, the Rats are one of the great teams...
With my contract ending and my job up in the air I cannot commit to anything really...

I won't be there either. With my US trip later in the month it just won't be doable. Hope it goes well. Looking forward to seeing lots of pics and video from the night.

I put an article together about tribute nights etc should be up today, it mentions about the Adelaide one.
I'll be looking to do another one as a follow up to the Adelaide tribute night. Are you guys able to video, get audio etc?
Are you planning on doing any giveaways btw? We can supply some stuff, just let us know what you're thinking of. Cheers. Also I might have a whole bunch of those wrist bands to give away too.

I was sure I replied to this last night , must not have hit send. Jimmy has been amazing and basically done it all single handed. He put an advert in the local street mag Rip It Up this week which is cool. So sad that Steve wong be coming. Did I read correct that The Todd is coming? But no one else, waaah so sad hopefully the numbers will be good and I will be sure to take loads of photos for y'all.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been on here for a while, Uni's been stressing me out like the plague. I think everything is almost ready to go, I've just contacted the venue to find out any finer details, but everything seems pretty ok right now. It's pretty difficult to say what numbers are going to do, I'm a little worried that it's not going to be that massive, as my friend Lisa who manages Quiet Child and has been helping me along every step of the way is being pushed by the venue to get big numbers due to the 200+ crowd that showed up to QC's album launch, which is slightly ridiculous but obviously incommunicable to the venue. So hopefully we get a decent turnout, I know we're all doing our best to make it as good as possible. I've got posters up now at Big Star city, JB Marion and Krypton at Glenelg so that should give us a decent kind of coverage on top of the rip it up ad.
Steve, even though you not coming, and I know you would have done this already, but can you make sure to tell anyone you know who may be interested to get along to this.
Kerrie, are you still wanting to see the projector situation? I had some issues contacting the venue directly a while back but Im in touch with them now so anything you want to know about creating the aesthetic for the night I can ask them. Also, we do need to supply door peeps, so if you could do a little bit that would be great, Ill get some of my friends to help out too so you guys shouldnt have to be stuck there too much.

Sheesh!
After being one of the nights biggest vocal supporters - I'm gonna have to bail. I start my new job in Sydney monday week, and I dont gots no place to live. No offence guys - but thats gotta take priority for me right now. Inspecting houses, meeting potential flatmates and so on. Its a crappy situation but i gotsta do it.
Yeah im pissed off - but at least we got 3 songs in the JJJ H100

Best of luck guys! Oh hey Jimmy, would you and one of the bands be interested in doing a mini interview for SP.com? I wanting to cover the nights events in a upcoming SP.com article ... so yeah. I'll be in touch ... <3 you guys! So happy this has all come together.

Well done to Jimmy and everyone else who was involved in organising last night's tribute night: Saintal and I thought it was great. We both particularly enjoyed Quiet Child and I was pumped that they played the Aeroplane Flies High.
Were you happy with the turnout?

What was the turnout like, anyway? What's the room capacity, and how much of it did you fill?

We got 115 people in, which was not too bad considering it was rainy and windy and adealaidians are notoriously lax with showing up at gigs. All the bands played excellently, and I think fun was had by all in attendence, which is all we could ask for really. I think Kerrie has a bunch of photos and took some vid as well, but I'm not sure if that worked...

Yes, Kerrie is notorious with her video'ing hahaha

Except none of it worked, apparently. Anyone got any ideas apart from VLC and ffmpeg to save corrupted MPEG4 files, those were the only things I could think of.
115's not bad at all - how big was the room, though?

shut up josh The actual pumpkins gig was my own fault. I made sure the audio was on before EVERY SINGLE VIDEO i shot at the tribute, and then the card fucks up. I am so pissed off. There were some really great covers. I have some stills from my DSLR that I am about to upload, and I am working on getting something from the video files. If more, sorry, ANY, other Ozphorians had showed up then perhaps I wouldnt have had to do all the video and stills on my own I hope i can get them working because it really was awesome. The night finished of with Quiet Child doing 'Thru the eyes of Ruby' and then kicking ass with "The Aeroplane Flies High" it was great fun!

Great pics Jimmy. Who took them? Also, you know how someone's dad was filming - is there any chance we can get some of that footage? I know he was filming during Quiet Child, because I was standing next to him filming with the ill fated Olympus/XD card. I didn't get that many photos: in between being Door Bitch, Filming, and watching the gig, but here are a few i did get.

Those are the work of my friend Aaron, who recently got the spot as one of Rip It Up's go to guys, he also does a lot of the stuff in Onion.
I think it was one of the guys from Shiloh's parents that was filming, I don't have direct contact with them, but I'll see if I can track it down.
