Cool downloading it now - thanks! what was wrong with the last record? i thought it was one of their best. if this is 1000x better, than its going to blow my socks off i guess. EDIT: Just listened to it, and you're right it is good. Its very old school Bad Seeds thats for sure, less piano focus. Its obvious that Grinderman has had an influence on the recording of this record. This song is going to be on high rotation thats for sure.

REM News: REM has started the countdown to the 14th studio album 'Accelerate' with a new web presence at www.ninetynights.comThe site will feature a new video segment each day for the next 90 day (or nights). The videos are produced by Arcade Fire, The National director Vincent Moon. The clip's will all be of around 30-90 seconds duration and change daily. The first video is around 30 seconds long. It is more like The Blair Witch project than a music video and is yet to hint at anything to do with REM. Speculation is that the daily videos may be able to be edited together to form a 60-90 minute film just prior to release of the 'Accelerate' album. Fans who visit daily will be able to download each clip in high definition. REM's new record will be released in the USA on April 1. It was recorded throughout 2007 with producer Jacknife Lee in Vancouver, Athens and Dublin. While an official tracklisting is yet-to-be announced, known songs recorded for the album are: 'Living Well Is The Best Revenge'? 'Man Sized Wreath'? 'Supernatural Superserious'? 'Hollow Man'? 'Houston'? 'Accelerate'? 'Mr Richards'? 'Until The Day Is Done'? 'Horse To Water'? 'Sing For The Submarine'? 'I'm Gonna DJ' 'I'm Gonna DJ' has been a regular inclusion in the REM setlist since 2005, and its also on the recent REM Live record. 'Accelerate' promises to be a return to the guitar-driven REM of old. Sales of the last album 'Around The Sun' were disappointing when compared to previous sales. 'Accelerate' is expected to be similar in feel to 1994's 'Monster' which featured the hits 'What's The Frequency, Kenneth' and 'Crush With Eyeliner'.

ooh the gov is nice little venue, but i dont know that i know enough ween to warrant a ticket at the moment. Kez, and anybody else that wants to see what Ween are all about ... and yes they are so much more than "Push th' Little Dasies". I've been meaning to make a mixtape, but been super busy so I thought this would be a good introduction to this great band. Its the 2000 J Files: www.archive.org/details/BenonJuliusWilliamOttoKoebsch_30Its truely a great listen, its just after the band released White Pepper (a fantastic record!) - its got a good mix of Ween songs and interviews etc ... and nerds calling up to request them. I can't get enough Ween lately, Im so excited about seeing them. If you're looking at albums to get into them with, I say White Pepper, The Mollusk and Chocolate and Cheese. Im going to still make a mixtape and upload it ... you'll hear songs like Baby Bitch and how it sounds just like The Panics new song.

In other news, the keyboardist from the Shins beat up his girlfriend. Crandall was arrested on January 4, 2008, after allegedly assaulting girlfriend Elyse Sewell in a hotel in Sacramento, California. He was charged with two felonies, domestic violence and corporal injury.[1] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Crandall

I saw this in the paper the other day, it made me so sad I mean, if they werent happy then I guess there is no reason to be sad, but they were such a cute couple, and it was so out of the blue. I love my little dan.

Jimmy - Thats awesome news! Jessy will probably have to work so we might not get to go to the BDO until after work, but if we do go early we will be there to watch!
Steve - What date is it? Until Jessy gets a new job we are pretty much on hold with all spending of monies, especially with SP coming up. But I will let you know if anything changes.

ASHES dIVIDE is the brainchild of guitarist and producer Billy Howerdel. Music fans know him as the founding member and producer of A Perfect Circle who featured Tool's Maynard James Keenan on vocals as well as members of Smashing Pumpkins, Queens of the Stone Age and Marilyn Manson. Rather than simply rest on the multi- platinum success of that project, Howerdel decided it was time to start fresh, under the pseudonym ASHES dIVIDE, with a new collection of songs and collaborators. Island Records' chief, Antonio "L.A." Reid announced in early January 2008 that they had signed ASHES dIVIDE to their storied roster. The album, Keep Telling Myself It's All Right, will be released in March. In the meantime, Howerdel is putting a touring band together for a worldwide tour. The proficient musician played nearly every instrument on the upcoming album. The drums were masterly handled by his A Perfect Circle bandmate Josh Freese. Maynard James Keenan's 11 year old son, Devo, added some gorgeous cello. With Howerdel providing such a rich and layered production style to the sessions, legendary engineer, Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine, NIN) was enlisted to mix the results. Fans of APC and bands like The Cure and Smashing Pumpkins will fall for the album's alluring blend of rock bombast and dark atmospherics. The internet has been buzzing about the debut single "The Stone," and rock and alternative radio has already added the song to their rotations. - www.myspace.com/ashesdivide

Just listened to the stone, sounds cool, sounds very Filter and late 90's rock ... more melodic with a pop sound more than APC.
