Ah ok, I was wondering as there was no sticker or anything to say there was any additions, so that makes perfect sense.

I hate when Bands/Artists release "greatest hits" before their career/the band is over.
ie Silverchairs greatest hits is bizaarely titled vol 1 or something crazy. Or like when KoRn put out a greatest hits, then put out that album with 'Twisted Transistor' which would probably make it onto a greatest hits compilation.
Fair enough with SP cos for all we knew - they were broken up.

Yeah it is sad, its usually a record company thing - making some money from an artists that is leaving or has left (ie Silverchair, Radiohead's ... many others)

Faith No More are one of the worst, their label pumps greatest hits compelations out every few years, often completely ridiculous ones with half of the songs being Chuck Mosley era and stuff, stupid labels. imagine picking up a faith no more best of as your first experience and having most of it being mosley

Im a big Prince fan, and Im so freakin happy to hear he rocked out at Cochella this week. For those who don't know he played Radiohead's Creep ... in only a way how Prince can. I can upload it if anybody wants to hear a recording. Its the only track I've managed to get, so want to hear a full recording of the entire show.

I hate when Bands/Artists release "greatest hits" before their career/the band is over. i know, i'm not ready for one yet either. between In Your Honour and new the album would have been a better time, they've sort of moved onto a new sound now so i think it'd be a bit out of place. plus there's too many singles for one disc. sunky i'd love to hear that cover! i don't mind a bit of Prince, he's cool. he did a song with ND called Waiting Room, it's on Rock Steady, it's fucking amazing. i can upload that if you haven't heard it. Gwen also sang on So Far So Pleased.

Also in way of covers, he played Best of You at the Superbowl last year and it ripped chunks out of the original.

this was posted on the Placebo's myspace today:
'Hey, Stefan here saying hi to everyone. Just want to say I've got an album coming out in June with my side project Hotel Persona. This is something I've been doing in my free time from Placebo over the past couple of years with some friends in London. It's basically a collection of tracks we wrote for fun to play at parties, nothing to take too seriously! It's pop music with a dancefloor beat, and lyrics sometimes bordering on comedy. Kind of exploring the entertainment value of music and making something a little more light hearted than what I am used to, something people with a couple of drinks in them could understand and sing along to! Some of the tracks are a little more serious and some quite intimate and fragile, and we've also got a couple of guests to bring some flavour.
Placebo is currently writing the next record and will record it this year, so Placebo fans shouldn't be worried that this project is taking away from that.
Hope you can have some fun with it like we did!!
Stefan'

yay for new music! i'll definately be checking out the album
