Anahedonia (Reece), Are you the one who was trying to sell off your gf ticket at the Adelaide show???
If not, then the person I was referring to in my earlier posts (who recorded both the Adelaide & Melbourne shows) is still out there!
But cheers for this effort anyway, Anahedonia! Grabbing them now.

I love how Billy stuff's up the lyrics to Perfect ... I remember Jimmy pissing himself laughing and looking at us, because we all laughing too. So glad to be able to relieve this memory. Also, so many people talking. No wonder Billy walked off, he said to us he could see people just talking while he was trying to play songs - no matter if it was quiet or loud - people just talked. I can't say thankyou enough, I've listened to this recording so much this weekend.

Hey has anyone been able to convert Anahedonias' recording to MP3? Hoping to listen to this show on my phone.
I've always used dbPowerAMP to convert my audio stuff, but for some reason, it won't allow me to convert these FLAC files to MP3.
I keep getting a "The CODEC required to compress 'C:\....Smashing Pumpkins Live at Festival Hall on 2008-04-04 (April 4, 2008)\tsp2008-04-04.mk4.t01.mp3' could not be opened" message.
Any suggestions?

Any suggestions? Hmm.. weird about that error message. From the description it would seem that you're trying to encode a file that's already an mp3... But you say they are the flacs you're trying to encode, hmm... I did a test dload of a flac16 and foobar encoded it to mp3 with no problems for me. Anyway, on the flac16 page there's also mp3s and oggs to dload, so you could always grab them instead of encoding yourself

It's cool. I ended up downloading Winamp & used that to convert the files.
Also worked out how to convert & burn the flac files as DVD-Audio (just got my first DVD burner the other week you see).
Cheers, anyway.

I am glad to read that a few more of you are now coming out with a bit more raw emotion and telling it like you actually feel it. I have read all posts and agree with a lot of it. However... What I am mostly confused about though is why are poeple defending BC like he's some sort of long lost cousin? He's a rock musician, whose success is based on the fan base, which is why concerts are played to reward the fans and cash in on the exorbant prices for tickets. I dont appreciate being treated like a peasant and for BC's arrogance towards the fan base taking the 'special' away from the concert. Melb's FH concert should have been longer, compared to Adelaide, and I expected more. I thought the crowd was great (except for the DH behind me trying for some reason to rile me up and have a go at me - he stood there the whole time arms crossed and i didn't see him mouth the words of any song once) and I went of a lot more than I did in Adel. I actually loved the intimacy and closeness of thevenue, and that it wasn't some arena or spick and span, 'hospitalised' venue. I thought the music was better done and that I got to hear a variation t the setlist from Adel. What I wanted though, and was expecting, was a longer concert where I could truly get lost i the mighty SP. Instead, BC spat the dummy for some unknown reason, dissed my home town where the crowd was way larger and appreciative of the music, and really not impressing me with his snobbery - and then cheating the true fans of something special at the last 'stand alone' concert by not providing an encore. Finding out later that Muzzle was planned but aborted really sealed the deal for me with my thoughts on this. I would also like to say that I apprecaite Sunky's thoughts and would like to clarify to all that I have not once complained that a certain song was not played. Sure, I would have loved to hear more Zeit - Starz, Doomsday - and may others from the discography, but this is not what I am on about. What I have complained about is that covers and such have been played in place of SP tunes that would have been more appreciated by many. I have complained about BC's character, imo his arrogance, towards the fan base, and that he doesn't seem to play for the crowd, but for himself. What i wanted to do was 'celebrate' the SP coming back, but I feel that BC didn't give me the chance to really do that. For the record, I absolutely loved all that I heard, (Tonight, Tarantula, and Lily being my faves) but do wish that BC treated the fans with more respect and at least 'acted' like he wanted to give them something for their support. Well, well, well... somebody copied my post for their IAGW review! machinegunfunk.com/2008/11/25/smashing-pumpkins-if-all-goes-wrong-dvd/

So, does anyone have a cd version of this show (downloaded all the recorded songs and put it on a cd).
If so, would you be willing to send me a copy? I'll pay for materials and postage of course.

Anyone have a jpeg of the concert poster for this gig? Saved from a website preferably, not self-taken.
