Well, old news now, but we are off to South Africa for the world cup, great stuff. Scrappy game last night, but good to give some lesser lights a run. Poor McDonald...he just can't nab a goal can he?
In really cool news, I got to meet Liverpool Legend Ian Rush today. He was doing a meet and greet at Myer and to get a gig, you had to spend $100 at the store. 2 new Liverpool jerseys later, i got to meet the guy, get him to sign one for my old man ("Dear Chris, happy 50th, good luck, Ian Rush") as well as one for me, and a photo....really nice guy, so glad he was happy to personalise them.
I can't wait to frame them and present it to my Dad when his bday rolls around (5th October funnily enough)...i really am over the moon about it!

good times mate!
Socceroos were not great at all last night... Mcdonald is not a lone striker, not at all... Would play well off someone like Viduka or Kennedy though... He'd definitely work in the dutch 3-4-3... My starting team would be.
Schwarzer Emerton Neil Carney Culina Grella Cahill Bresciano Mcdonald Kewell Viduka/Kennedy
Obviously requires Emo and Carney to play true wing backs and Culina and Grellan to Provide plenty of cover...
EDIT: I can't get it to space out properly...
Emmo and Carney wing backs, culina and grella defensive mids, cahill and bresciano attacking mids and Kewell and McDonald playing just off the striker holding the ball up.
